"Man Utd Can Win The Title"
Saturday, 29th Aug 2015 06:15 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews)

Based on the early form of the season the title could well be heading back to Manchester this season but while everyone looks at the blue half of the city as the favourites Garry Monk believes that it could be our visitors on Sunday who add another title to their already record haul.

The Swans entertain Man Utd in the Sunday 4pm kick off this weekend looking for a third successive win over our visitors following our historic double of last season.

We gained a first ever league double over Louis Van Gaal's side thanks to a 2-1 win at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season that was followed by a win and the same scoreline in February giving us the distinction of being the only team to do the league double over them last time around.

Despite that setback though they finished in the Champions League places in the Premier League and this week they secured a place in the group stages of the Champions League thanks to a comprehensive aggregate win over FC Bruges in their qualifying tie.

Swans boss Garry Monk believes though that Man Utd have improved this season and he thinks that they could go on and secure yet another Premier League title after so many under Sir Alex Ferguson

"They can win it with the squad they've got after the amount of money they've spent," Monk said.

"With the quality they have, they should be competing for the title. You can see that they are going to be right up there contending for it and I think that's probably the minimum standard for Manchester United.

"They had a transition period last season with the new manager coming in. They've seen his way or working and this season they look a stronger outfit."
