Fingers Crossed For An Injury Free International Break Wednesday, 2nd Sep 2015 07:00 by Planet Swans (follow us on Twitter @swansnews) Of the players who featured against Manchester United, eight of the fourteen of them are now away from the Swans on international duty so there will be plenty of crossed fingers that they all return as fit as they left. Ashley Williams, Neil Taylor, Jonjo Shelvey, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Eder, Lukasz Fabianski, Andre Ayew and Ki Sung-Yeung are all expected to feature for their countries this week whilst Kristoffer Nordfeldt is also on international duty with his country having spent Sunday on the bench watching as the Swans continued their unbeaten start to the season. There are many things that say much about the squad that we have put together and nothing more than the number of internationals that we have within that squad. And many of them have an excellent chance of competing in next summer's finals of Euro 2016 in France. There are none of those players though that the Swans would want to return injured to the club and missing Premier League action and transfer windows must be a nervous time for all club managers who will be watching their players hoping that nothing happens that can change their plans for the players return. By the time they return though we could find that some of them have a busy summer ahead of them next summer with several of the sides having the chance to seal a qualification in the next week given the right results. Of particular worry though will be the longer trips undertaken by Ki and Andre Ayew with both due back on 9th September just three days ahead of the Swans clash at Watford. That could mean a change for Garry Monk in the case of Ayew (although I cannot see it) whilst Ki is likely to stay on the bench for that game in my eyes. Where can you see Swans players in action?
