Monk Aiming To Change Tottenham Record

Garry Monk's Swans will face Tottenham Hotspur tomorrow at the Liberty Stadium looking for his team to end a run that has seen them lose the last seven games to them since arrival in the Premier League.

A solitary point for the Swans in their first game against Spurs has been followed by those seven defeats leaving our record against them the worst one of any of the sides we have faced in the Premier League.

That though could change tomorrow and it is an important game for the Swans after three defeats in the four games since the team returned from the September international break and it would be the perfect tonic before the next one starts after tomorrow's game.

It will not be easy as Tottenham come into the game having thrashed league favourites Manchester City at White Hart Lane last week and they will be looking to push themselves further up the table with a win of their own.

But Swans boss Garry Monk is out to end that run of form against a side who can certainly feel lucky that they left the Liberty last season with three points under their belt.

"We've had some very good games against them since we've been in the Premier League," said Monk. "But at the same time we have only taken one point from those matches, even if we have deserved better in some games.

"But its a record that we want to change, that's our focus and we'll be aiming to do that this weekend.

"We were excellent against them at home last season and we know that they are a very good team with fantastic players and a forward-thinking manager."
