Stick Together Is The Skipper's Call

Defeat at Norwich City may not be the end of the world as far as individual results are concerned but when it means it is just one win in nine then you can appreciate that there is work to be done in amongst the team to ensure that the run of form ends and soon.

The manner of the defeat is also a worrying trend and comes on the back of some poor and inconsistence performances in those nine games and gives the Swans some things that need some work on over the two weeks of the international break.

Those things though will not be helped by the fact that the squad will be depleted by those heading off on international duty so the management and players have to find a way around that to halt the run of form that has seen the Swans drop 10 places in the table.

Yesterday Bafetimbi Gomis called on everyone to stick together and after the game at Norwich the words of skipper Ashley Williams echoed that sentiment and called on everyone to be united “We believe in what we do and the message will be to stick together in tough times,” he said.

“It is a bit of a tough time, there’s no escaping that. We are not where we want to be and we are not playing how we want to be.

“It’s time to start looking at ourselves and the team and how we can affect it - a bit of honesty and realisation of the situation.

“I’ve been in this situation and it’s not nice, and I don’t really plan to be in this bad moment for a long time.”
