Swans Aiming To Bring Allen Back

A move for Liverpool and Wales midfielder Joe Allen could be on the cards this summer after Swans Chairman admitted that the club would be interested in bringing the player back to South Wales.

Allen left Swansea along with manager Brendan Rodgers for Anfield in the Summer of 2012 and right up until around three months ago it looked almost certain as if he would be out of Liverpool this summer.

However some impressive performances towards the end of the season made many wonder if he was due to stay on Merseyside although his future is still in doubt as he prepares to start the Euro 2016 campaign with his native Wales.

It has long since been reported that the Swans would be interested in a move for the player and that interest was confirmed by Huw Jenkins when he told the Evening Post "I think it has been well-documented that Joe is going to look at his future when he is finished out at Euro 2016

"Naturally, we are interested in good players like Joe who may be available this summer given that he has a year left on his contract.

"Obviously we will keep tabs on his situation and see what happens later in the summer."

It is reported that it would take around £10m to bring Allen back to the Liberty but the Swans are believed to be prepared to meet the price should they decide to make a move.

There will be few that will protest if we do bring back Allen and indeed he will be high on many's wish list this summer
