Dyche Taking Positives Despite Defeat

Sean Dyche may have seen his Burnley side be on the wrong side of the result against the Swans yesterday but he was taking the positives out of defeat and clearly was not downbeat despite the 1-0 reverse.

The Burnley boss believed his side gave a good account of themselves and also believes they should have had a penalty during the game as he pointed to a shirt pull in the area which he felt should have resulted in a penalty.

As it was though it was just Leroy Fer's goal that proved to be the difference between the two sides and enough to send the Swans back to South Wales with all three points in the bag.

Speaking after the game, Dyche said “It was frustrating because I felt we gave a good account of ourselves today.

“The margins are tight and the details are important.

“We gave away a soft goal, but in the second half in particular we put in a good performance and kept a good side on the back foot.

“Their keeper has pulled off a couple of fantastic saves, so we have created things, which is pleasing.

“We can learn from that and we have to quickly. I said it last time in the Premier League, because it’s an unforgiving league.

“The details are really, really important and we needed a big decision today with the foul on Michael Keane, who has a header from two yards.

“You can clearly see his shirt is being pulled all over the place and neither the linesman or referee see it, but we can."
