Bartley Takes Your Vote

It was of course Manchester United that came away from the Liberty Stadium with all three points this weekend in what was a relatively easy win in the end but it was the surprise inclusion of Kyle Bartley that was one of the main talking points when the team news was announced.

Bartley had looked for some time to be on his way out of the Liberty Stadium with a season long long at Leeds last season resulting in them and other sides chasing his signature.

But a new contract and now a start against the Premier League leaders later and Bartley is looking like someone who not only has a future at the club but also could play a more frequent part in the first team.

His performance on Saturday as well - before he was substituted - was also enough to earn him the highest rating of all the players on the Swans side during Saturday' 4-0 defeat.

He scored an average rating of 6.8 for his performance which placed him ahead of Federico Fernandez (6.6) and Lukasz Fabianski (6.1). Indeed, add Alfie Mawson (6.0) to that list and it showed what a strong defensive performance it was again despite the four goals conceded.

The full ratings for this game looked like as follows

Our player ratings occur after every game the Swans play and will open after the cup tie at MK Dons tomorrow evening.
