I've applied for every opening game for the top seeds in each group as you don't have to commit to buying the tickets even if you are fortunate enough in the ballot.
The pitch still looked in fantastic condition at the end of last season, hopefully it's finally benefitting from all the money that has been spent on it over the years. We're due a bit of good weather during August now after the wash out that July is/was so it's not a bad time of the year to have both Dale and Hornets playing lots of home games.
I was told this by someone who had spoken DL himself in a situation that wasn't in the surroundings of RAFC a few weeks after the season had finished in late May.
If we were able to match the terms that he was on with us last season then I'm pretty sure by this stage of the summer he would have signed for us, however we weren't able to offer him those terms.
You need a unique type of quality of player to play that way and you just don't get at most levels, if McNulty is choosing to go down that route then we're going to be found out pretty quick.
The worry is that we were playing that way under McNulty in League games at the back end of last season (I'm still having nightmares about that first half against Tranmere) and the disaster of that style of football under BBM is still fresh in the mind.
Man City can play that way because they have best coach and best players in the world we don't.
