Could you do a three game/gig week though, Stow? Seriously, though, that’s an impressive display of stamina. I think the furthest I’ve walked to a game is from Clapham Junction when the trains were up the spout, although I did cheat a bit by jumping on random buses that appeared to be going in the right direction (they weren’t).

Well done Phil.

After debating whether to go to the Brum game or watch on Sky, I've just bought my train tickets, so I might bump into you on the 23.00 train on Tuesday!

There isn’t an 11pm train now is there?10.30 or 11.30 are my options.

I will be walking again on Tuesday, but no gig this time.I don’t think I’ll be walking to Middlesbrough on Saturday though, unless I start out at 10pm on Tuesday night.

I know Phil, but you've been known to get on the slow train to Ipswich at 23.00 & wait at Ipswich for the train to Stowmarket. More time spent travelling, but less time waiting at stations!

Forgive me if I missed the memo but why are you walking from Liverpool Street to Loftus Road? I understand our transport system isn't the best but, if anything, the Central Line is direct.

The early train tickets from Stowmarket to London are cheaper than leaving it later, but my train gets in at 2.45 and if I go straight to the pub I’d be too drunk to watch the game. Also we tend to have a good record in games where I’ve walked the 7 miles before the game, but I think it might just be coincidence.I’ve done it about 10-15 times over the past couple of years and we’ve only lost a couple.I don’t do it every game but most evening games I’ll do it.
I do pass every central line station to Shepherd’s Bush on my walk, but I find it better than sitting on a tube for 30 minutes. And I’m definitely ready for a beer when I get there.
Early season games are better because of the weather but as long as it’s not tipping it down I’ll walk.

Fair play. Having just drawn West Ham away in the FA Cup, that's one you can probably walk to as well (albeit it may not be an evening game).

The good record continues. What a finish to the game.Lucky I still had the energy to celebrate for a good couple of minutes when Morgan scored.
