Crikey in today's world, where everything is taken the wrong way and given a meaning, not intended.

Its just last two visits, asked for a bounty bar and was not understood, but brought a packet of cheese and onion crisps after a two or three minute conversation, where no English words were understood. And then a request for a bottle of coke zero, again received with a blank expression.

Just wondered why the club is employing staff in a customer facing role, that not only cant speak English, but dont even know the few words needed for the small amount of items that are on sale in the kiosks.

Minimum wage is a decent rate recently, so really can't understand why for a few extra shillings, the club can't find staff that actually have even a limited grasp of spoken English.

Question for CN / Beans ???

BTW, this is in no way racist related - if staff can't speak any English, they seriously can't do this job, that would be my understanding...

It really is a shite job, in bad conditions, selling crap produce with rubbish regular hours. No wonder the staff don't give shite or even try to understand

Now, give them better facilities, decent produce (cold Beers anything other than carlsberg) and better food options, I am sure the staff will enjoy the job more.

Currently it's a dead end job with zero upside. No enjoyment for staff or customer's. I don't expect much and neither should any of us.

Speak clearer and louder

Maybe your own diction isn't the clearest?

Don’t think it makes much difference to your issue but I believe the food and drink services are from an outsourced provider rather than directly carried out by the club.

I had the same issue , in the same stand .. If she had been selling lobster and champagne from a pile carpeted , centrally heated booth for 50 quid an hour she still would not have understood me saying loud and clear "chips please" more than 6 times ..(a colleague interpreted in the end )
