Don’t think it makes much difference to your issue but I believe the food and drink services are from an outsourced provider rather than directly carried out by the club.

Mbengue Yellow card - FAO anyone who knows about betting
at 10:48 11 Dec 2025

Believe he is on 8 currently.

https://www.worldfootball.net/competition/co20/england-championship/statistics-f

He gets a 2 match suspension if he collects 10 yellow before the 32nd game.

Couple of people have commented on Kone "missing a sitter". It wasn't.

Having looked at the Sky highlights I can see why it might look that way if you were watching on the TV and the commentator said something along those lines too but from my seat behind that goal it was a really difficult chance. He was wide of the goal and almost on the line, the angle he would have had to get it in was crazy. It would have been something special for him to score, not a sitter in any way.

I don’t think we are obliged to release him until the 15th so he may be part of Tuesday and Saturday’s teams.

Was bloody funny when Mbengue was injured and treated and he then let him trot into their penalty area for the free kick. We could have joined in with WBA’s, “You’re just a tw@t with a whistle”.

Agreed. Wasting apple crumble and custard is a serious crime. Wasting it on some baubles that entitled family think they deserve is even worse.

Electric cars to be taxed per mile.
at 17:17 26 Nov 2025

I did a quick calculation. If you get 30mpg in your car then the tax taken at the petrol/diesel pump works out at about 12p per mile. That's made up of both fuel duty and VAT.

Hull Reflection
at 18:55 22 Nov 2025

That was fun, apart from Hull passing back and forth in their defence for hours on end. It’s no wonder their possession number was high. They were Dull for long periods.

Chair was absolutely outstanding. His defensive work was nearly as good as his forward efforts.

Favourite Grub as a Kid
at 19:52 12 Nov 2025

As a kid the answer would be anything that wasn't prepare by my mother.

If I had to feed myself it was out of a can. Heinz saw me through. Those baked beans with sausages in them on some toast. Tomato soup as mentioned before.

Sardines on toast for Sunday tea. Wouldn't go near it now but it was foolproof back then.

I'm fortunate to have married a fine cook who will never have to measure herself against the food of my childhood.

Rob Green must be proud that some in the lower loft sill shout “Greeno” every time a keeper kicks the ball straight into touch.

Fully agree with this. Whoever is managing the building of that squad needs to take a lot more credit for their position than Lampard does.

Swapping Hamer and O'Hare for Rudoni and Grimes must have initially seemed a downgrade by their fans but has been anything but that.

I wonder what they are thinking with those two sitting at the exact opposite end of the table now?

Pensions Advice
at 12:08 3 Oct 2025

First question is what type of pensions are they? If they are final salary or defined benefit then do not take money out. Much better to stick with them and take the income when it becomes available.

If they are defined contribution or most of the other types then you need to look more carefully at the terms. There's a lot of variation when it comes to what income they might provide, what income a spouse might get if you pop your clogs and whether they are index linked or not. Chances are they won't be the same either so, sorry, you'll need to work at it and then take steps once you have the info. Chances are the 25% tax free is worth taking but that's by no means a given.

This isn't advice, it's just what I looked at and learnt when I retired recently.
