I've only been an avid football (QPR) follower since the 90's when my son and daughter showed an interest. So was just wondering, have substitutions normally been just for the last 15 to 20 mins? With the plethora of subs in a game now I would have thought subs at 60 to 65 mins would have a better impact, or am I talking out my Hershey highway? I think a sub at 70 to 75 mins doesn't really have much chance to make a difference, generally. |

I've given up on score/er predictions as all my previous have been woefully embarrassing. I will say that I think we will play better than last Saturday and the winner will be decided on how well Oxford play and if MadBen can get a couple decent balls into the box. He's not suspended is he? |

Hey I like the cut of your jib Mr. Old Fashioned. And I heartily agree with your narrative. |

Used to be a hot coconut milk 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric, dash of black pepper, pinch of cinnamon and a couple cardamom pods. Great for sore joints, inflammation, immune system and sleep apparently. But after reaching my mid 60's I found that a late night beverage sitting in my bladder would wake me up, so gave that up. Now a couple glasses of Saumur-Champigny (Loire, highly recommended) for apero at 6pm is my goto tpple. |

Ah crap. Have to say that I'm not a fan of Dembele, have to agree that I don't see what he brings to the game. Tries to do too much, looses ball, falls down, sits on ground, pulls socks up, looks around. Rinse and repeat. |

I've got an idea, instead of assuming Julien is an idiot. How about maybe Poku was complaining about a little twinge and our manager didn't want to risk another injury, so that is the reason for the change. But I guess it's easier to kick Julien in the gonads. |

Article says it helps keep pests away. It didn't do that yesterday. |

I want to like the guy but I agree he does not look ready for this level. Also the tippy tappy between him and Morrison yesterday was an accident waiting to happen. |

What I find annoying is the clapping of a bad ball hit to an attacking player. The ball is swung across the the left wing to the guy running, busting a gut, down the right and it flies over his head into the crowd. He immediately gives the thumbs up in acknowledgement and claps the player that just over hit the ball. No, it's not a sarcastic applaud, heaven forbid, it's showing appreciation that the other guy tried, I guess, wtf is that all about? When did footballers get so sensitive that they can't handle some criticism that the pass was crap and they need to get thier sh!t together. OK if the pass is pinpoint and the receiving player mishandled, then applaud by all means. Are these Gen z footballers so fragile that they can't deal with an occasional bit of lambasting. My 70's sporting brain finds this ridiculous. |
