Mbengue Yellow card - FAO anyone who knows about betting
at 13:42 11 Dec 2025

I’d write to Amadou himself and ask if he has a free morning or afternoon when he can join you at the bookmakers you put the bet on to demand a pay-out there and then. Pay out plus an additional fee for taking up Mr. Mbengue’s precious time.

Full strength side for West Ham
at 13:24 9 Dec 2025

As soon as the draw was made I thought we have to let the club know we want this game taken seriously. I’m sick (quarter of a century sick) of QPR throwing Cup games with reserve sides. I think West Ham will put out a weakened side and that’s up to them. We have a great opportunity here for a memorable win in front of the biggest Rs away turn out for years. If it takes a petition to do this then I’m in. Is there a fan representative? I’d go as far as having some kind of campaign where no one buys tickets until we get a written statement from the club, be it via Stephan, Nourry, or Jude the cat, that a full strength side will be selected.

"That" press for the 2nd goal...
at 22:08 8 Dec 2025

Just before we scored I remarked on the number of players we had forward who appeared to be involved in a co-ordinated press and I thought we’ve done the research on how they play and we have a plan to exploit it. And just as I was thinking ‘QPR -plan -tactics -don’t be silly’ … we scored.

Your reading between the lines is way off there Baz. He’s not training or getting the consistency because he’s injured. Thats a dreadful defamatory word you used there.

I’ll kick off with Joe Mercer. Did he not give Stan his first cap?

Edit: which makes him one of the greatest managers England has ever had.

World Cup Draw
at 23:12 4 Dec 2025

I believe so …. before the last 2nd Round tie Brackley v Burton

Ps: the Mango Mussolini has done a cup draw before … the League Cup QF in the late 80s (early 90s?)
When it was either Rumbelows or Littlewoods. On the Saint & Greavsie show. Absurd & surreal. Can’t be arsed to look for it but it’s out there.

20 team divisions

Interesting stuff. So the theory is increasing the number of substitutes is actually leading to more injuries and the scapegoat for this will be the evening game. I still say 20 team leagues (with the occasional evening game) and shorter seasons are a good idea. If the football authorities want to fill the month free created with meaningless tournaments that increase the work load on a player. Thats not good but that’s up to them. I won’t be spending my money on them.

All this talk of 3 game weeks like it’s this new problem akin to time-wasting or bad officiating. I love evening games. Loftus Road under the lights midweek can be a magical place. I’ve got nothing against 20 team leagues but keep the midweek games. I guess that would mean a slightly shorter season - I’m okay with that too. And this theory that QPR can’t handle “3 game weeks”. We play shit disappointing football after a week off, after an international break, after a whole summer off. This 3GW talk is a masterpiece of red herring’s bollox.

Edit: I don’t know how a load of auto-corrected to a masterpiece ofbut I like it so it’s staying. Maybe it’s the correct collective noun for red-herring’s bollox

Diego is astounding. I was lucky enough to see a screening at BAFTA on Piccadilly. My expectations weren’t too high but from the off with the rare super 8 footage of Maradona travelling from Naples airport to the Stadium accompanied by a thumping Georgio Moroder soundtrack I was hello this is interesting. The man’s life had the highs, lows, and pathos of a Greek tragedy. I left the cinema that sunny afternoon and I wanted cocaine, prostitutes, and a football (preferably an Adidas Tango) to do some keepy-uppies. I settled for a couple of pints of pride in the Red Lion off Jermyn Street. The film was living in my head for days.

This one should have won a prize at Cannes. I’ve watched it double figures. If you haven’t yet seen it I envy you.

Unless injury is involved dropping Kolli for Frey is scandalous. Maybe he’s being saved for for the big one against Cray Valley Paper Mills on Tuesday night. Win lose or draw this irks me majorly.
