Wild celebrations in the garden of the Crown and Sceptre, that's for sure. Social distancing out the window, Clive climbing on my back spraying his Peroni everywhere. Landlady was not best impressed at all, give us a right ticking off.
What shitty hospitality. At £7.30, no wonder he couldn't keep buying pints. If he's not causing any trouble, let him be. Can't be that busy at 3pm on a Thursday. I popped in there a few months back for a quick one and was surprised at how expensive it was - not a particularly nice part of Fulham either.
Respectfully, I'm not sure I agree with you here Lazy. I think Madsen does get up and down the pitch now. Whether it's picking the ball up from the CBs to play forward or drifting over to the left to pop it about with Chair and RND, he is pretty mobile. West Brom was a perfect example of this, crossing from the right for Varane and pressing on their edge of their box for Burrell's goal

He doesn't move with electric pace, but he certainly gets through his fair share of running. I also think at the moment he gets through more defensive work than Varane does, smashing through players and winning defensive headers. He's protecting Varane, not the other way around.
Making Y standing doesn't make much to me. I'd want to concentrate all the standing blocks in the same corner, rather than dot bits around. For my money, I'd expand standing through the whole of R Block
Feels like a 400 odd pitch doesn't it? Such a lack of situational awareness, as per - stop us leaking boundaries, keep things tight, and put yourself in a good position to get stuck into them in the trickier second session.
Really good rebuild from Crawley and Root. Creepy really needed these after his pair, looking dominant. Approaching twilight soon though - Neser and Doggett bowling now, feels like they're saving Starc for the poor lighting.
Dembele needs to do it consistently. I think he had better games just after he signed, stringing some fantastic performances together before getting injured and dropping off a cliff. Needs to maintain that level from last week. My concern on him stepping up a level is his lack of pace and physicality. Think he could get lost in the Prem.
It's been going downhill since it's refurb in about 2014 when it got bought by Youngs. Before that it had an excellent range of really interesting beers that you'd rarely see on tap elsewhere - now it's often the same old Youngs line-up (although I haven't been in a long while). Lost it's character IMO.
Sounds like a nice little tour. The Bush Tavern (to give it it's full name) is meant to do really good burgers. There was a weird little spot on Old Oak Road near the A40 called No Drama that was excellent - they've started at The Bush Tavern now, so want to get down and try the food.
205 seemed like a competitive total, but I think that wicket really flattened out, as a lot of people predicted it would. Didn't seem to be much in it for the bowlers as it went on. Had we (Pope, Brook, Root in particular) batted for time and not got out to cheap wafty drives outside off-stump, we could have put up a proper total. I quite like Bazball, but there's a time and a place to just bed in for a bit - that they still can't see that is bonkers.
What really got my goat was the tailenders getting out to some really cheap shots, instead of playing around Jamie Smith. He was in good touch, scoring at a decent rate. Carse in particular was an awful dismissal.
I tried matching it up with TMS at one point, but TMS was so far ahead it just wouldn't work.
On this bowling attack, they seem to have got it right with an attack made up of 5 seamers - it has allowed us to really maintain that pressure by having bowlers bowl short sharp high-speed spells, not giving the batters a break.
Also quite tragic how he's pre-prepared his answers as well, looking at clips of Mastermind, and got a friendly journo to tee him up. Does he not have anything better to do?
Glad you and your boy had a good time of it. Lovely to see Eze score a blinder.
If you ever fancy chancing it, you can usually pick up cheap tickets in The Green Man. So many ESTC members buy tickets just for the caps with no interest in going, so you've got people basically giving them away beforehand.
Ye, pretty poor. I do love Archer, always tacking on a few quick runs at the end of an innings. Disappointed that Carse and Atkinson didn't do better - they're not bad with the bat, need them to stick on a few more and strengthen the tail
I agree the point regarding Minis - cars across the board are getting larger. A 2025 Range Rover is 30% bigger than it's 1970s equivalent. The point though is to counter the increase in SUVs, now the most popular type of car in the UK, so no, the policy wouldn't also target Minis.
Is that the case that they don't take up more space than a saloon? What is inarguable though is the increased risk they pose to cyclists and pedestrians, even more so to children where the high blunt bonnet collides with their head and torso,
