Is anyone really surprised though? Poor leadership seems to go right to the very top
Its the same in any industry, I'm a painter and decorator and if I have to I sometimes do site work, on the good sites with good management its organised, the quality of work is good and it gets done on time.
On poorly managed sites its easy for a toxic culture to breed, work is shoddy and even though you start with the right intentions its hard not to unconsciously start to go through the motions, take your money and get out as quickly as possible
The point to this analogy is we signed very good championship players like Azaz and Fellows and brought back Charles and Edwards who all had fine seasons last year and they all now a shadow of what they were |

What will be a real shame is when TE is removed from the post, either if our poor form continues and were flirting with the relegation places or at the end of the season and we finish in about 15th, we'll lose another coach who was doing good work with the U21 side.
He may well turn out to be a very good young manager, but not yet.
I've read posts saying we should have appointed Danny Rohl, I agree he would have been my choice.
For all we know Saints may have approached him and he turned us down, I seem to recall him hawking himself around saying what sort of job he was looking for, at a time that he was still Wednesdays manager.
I was pleased that we appointed Still before the end of last season, it gave clarity to everyone and a full pre-season for him to get his ideas across to the players. With hindsight it was the wrong decision, but we have to be realistic about who we are and where we are right now, who we want and who would be interested in the job are two different things
Sadly I'm inclined to agree with your last sentence, SR have made more bad decisions than good and show no signs of learning from their past mistakes |

I've just realized that its 4 years ago yesterday that they took over the club
My memory of that time was a feeling of positivity, new owners with a bit of money to invest after treading water under Gao
We were also in decent form at the time and beat Brentford 4-1 just after the take over
Thinking back I think the most nuts thing they've done in those 4 years was sign striker for nearly 10 million who'd bust his achilles
For balance the highlight has been winning the playoff final, I finally got to see Saints winning a big game when it really mattered |

They have Jimmy Dunne who's an excellent championship defender and I don't think 5 at the back suits any of ours
No natural wing backs and with 3 centre halves they just look confused and don't have clear instructions or coaching of how to play in that system |

Im happy to be proven wrong but I've yet to see any benefits
I've always had the feeling that we were the cash cow that was being used to fund the two other sides
I think that Brighton are part of a multi club set up but the difference their is that their chairman is Tony Bloom, a lifelong Seagulls fan who makes decisions on what's best for the club, not what will make him the most money

Very true
They have a small squad and injuries will potentially take their toll
They also played him as a defensive midfielder at times last season as he can pick a pass |

A lot to unpack in that horror show
What struck me was how square we looked and despite having loads of bodies in the box, no-one took any responsibility
Whilst Bazunu was at fault for 2 of them imo, he's not exactly being helped by hopeless defending in front of him
Yet another example of the lack of leaders on the pitch, no=one dishing out b*ll*ckings, all got their heads down and trudging back to the centre circle [Post edited 4 Jan 18:42]

I would imagine QPR would be all over getting him back if were looking to sell
According to a QPR supporting pal they wanted to sign him in August but we wouldn't do a deal
They loved him when he was on loan last season, best centre half they've had since Alan McDonald according to my pal |

George Long is an abysmal keeper, makes Joe Lumley look like Lev Yashin
I don't think Norwich could quite believe their luck when we took him on loan
I can understand playing 3 centre halves with wing backs if you're not conceding many goals, but we've shipped about 40? so far this season |

We needed to bring in an experienced manager in the summer, one with a big enough character and ego to deal with the mess he inherited and make the players aware that previous standards would not be tolerated
Unfortunately the owners were never going to do that, an experienced manager would probably be telling the board some uncomfortable home truths about how badly the club is being run and their processes were totally flawed
Instead we got a weak personality vacuum who the players had no respect for and now an inexperienced U21 coach and staff who has quickly been found out and looks totally lost |

At the risk of getting pelters and stating the obvious, Sport Republic aren't going anywhere
They bought an established Premier League club at a price that reflected that, the value of the club is nowhere near that now.
Add in the money they've wasted on dreadful recruitment of managers and players, selling up now would mean a huge loss.
You also have to add in the complications of being tied to a multi club model
If never ceases to amaze me the level of incompetence of these owners and the fact that they never learn from previous mistakes |

Probably glad to be in work and won't rock the boat in trying to change the 5 at the back system that seems to be forced on every manager

Awoniyi wouldn't be a bad signing imo
Been out injured and now not getting much game time at Forest
Might give us a bit of presence up front which we are severely lack at the moment
Getting a decent squad player from a premier league club on loan should improve us greatly, I thought Brooks was an excellent addition a couple of years ago |
