Julien Stephan - He is doing quite well !!!!
at 06:36 11 Dec 2025

Marti absolutely saved us from relegation not once but twice.
He still for me has a very special place in my QPR heart along with Warbs, both men of integrity.

His reasons for gardening leave won't be known (if they ever will) to have an opinion on his character for me.

I think JS is a better coach overall and I've really warmed to him of late, I was very reserved early doors, (not of his own making, more of absolute dispare of how QPR were doing business) but he's quietly getting on with it and you can really see why he was highly regarded and interviewed for the role. Just look at Masden turnaround, not sure if Marti would of been able to achieve it.

CN deserves credit for that along with recruitment. CN also needs to improve relations with Fans, he's still hard to like but I can't knock some of his business decisions as we are overall in a really good place.

Even with the some odd results the place feels lighter and moving in an optimistic direction and I'm definitely enjoying it.

It will be however, properly QPR to mess it up. So there is always that pessimistic side in me that feels disaster is just around the corner.

There is a reason we are not allowed nice things. JS is currently our nice thing! 😂

QPR Development Pathway???
at 07:51 9 Dec 2025

Are we going to see young players given a chance in the first team soon?

Let's be honest we ain't going up and the team this year looks and plays better than last, so to me we ain't going down either.

CN spent considerable time, effort and money to clear out the youth development and bring in different supposedly better prospects. Isn't that the model?

JS was brought in as he has a reputation for development.

Seems a missed opportunity not to be giving some of these players more of a go or at least be loaned out?

Heard someone say the other day "Field is injured, can't rely on RND for every game and Esquerdinha is a liability"

But that's the point isn't it? Esquerdinha is the exactly the sort of player we need to develop. Only way to do that is to play him, coach him through games. Not saying 90mins every game but much more than he's getting.

You can lump Bennie, Adamson and to a lesser extent Morgan into this mix as well.

It's about getting the mix of first team aspirations and development right.

Feel like although we are inconsistent collectively we still need to be allowing more youth to feature and not stagnate.

This signing seems fishy. Doesn't sit well and I don't know why. Am I alone in this?

He should be getting 1st team minutes by now at his age if this game model is anything to go by.

Injury Record Thus Far
at 20:00 28 Nov 2025

Not about to give old Benjamin Willi a Blowie but.......

Was the slow burn into the season a stroke of genius?

I realise the innuendos here are not fit for purpose!

We seems to be fairing a bit better than teams around us and it was a lot worse this time last season.

Slightly concerned on some players still blowing our of their rings at 60mins+ and occasionally getting cramp.

Still, could be a lot worse. JS actually having the pleasure of selection headaches going into games.

Just thought it was worth mentioning.

As you were.......

Welcome to the club. Absolutely over it. It's like crack. It gets worse as you get older and have less tolerance towards it.

Feels like someone has passed away at the club. Gutted.

I just can't get over how QPR continue to shoot themselves in the foot time and time again. It's like the planets have never aligned for us to function like a normal football club (even if normal doesn't exist in football)

One step forwards but 3 steps back.

It's the QPR way. I'm tired and want to get off for a rest for quite a while.

Modern day football for you! Sigh!

Think we should be alternating between Burrell and Kone to be honest. Not game by game but at least in game.

Will give both a chance to not be so reliant on both but give us something different up there when the game needs it and get a proper number 10 in there instead.

Where in the world? Non QPR
at 23:36 22 Aug 2025

Whangaparaoa, Auckland, New Zealand.

Been here since 2012. Was in Guernsey, Channel Islands before NZ, Cornwall, England before Guernsey.

Pros.

1. Ranked one of the safest countries in the world.

2. Weather over the course of a year is much better than what I remember from the UK.

3. A much better work to live quality of life.

Cons.

1. I miss Europe being on my doorstep.

2. Can hide away when I'm QPR'd. 😂

Man Utd. It was only because I genuinely loved watching Peter Schmeichel.

But those Hoops lead by Wilkins and Ferdinand with Bards and Wilson won me over. Man to have full backs like those today eh?

Dembele

Got high hopes for him this season. Defensively suspect (which he really needs to work on) but he's still the one I'm most excited about.

The fact he played such fewer games than Paul Symth (not hating on Paul at all) but had a better goal and assist ratio speaks volumes.

He's had a real good pre season and looks set to hit the ground running.

Just don't get injured! 😬

Cold showers (non QPR, maybe)
at 08:50 23 Jul 2025

Like anything you do you build up a tolerance to it.

4 degrees here in New Zealand this morning. I have an outdoor shower at my place as we are close to the beach.

I wake up and go outside and cold shower. Im in it for around 2-5 mins. No build up from hot to cold just get my feet, thigh then whole body goes in. The feeling after I'm finished is magic. I'm not a morning person in the slightest but it really does the trick.

Good dopamine hit that can last up to half a day. Would love an ice bath one day.

So it's a yes from me.

What a wonderful write up Stu. I really wish I had even 10% of what you had with your dad and mine is still alive. Makes me so happy that there are friends out there who experience what a proper father and son relationship should be like.

God bless him and I'm sure he's smiling down so proud of the man you are. Big loves mate! ❤️

Surprised to hear Calm may still have a future here.

Good to also hear more on JS and his ideas.
