I'm truly humbled by your friendly empathy! Perhaps your 'learning opportunity' could be to stop being a ptronishing dick yourself.

More importantly, well done you Rs.

Ooer, an opinion, which I'm thrilled he shoved down my throat. He actually was shocking prior to his two excellent goals, but he really showed he can do it.

Anyone else making my original barb of frustration, and I'm sure you're not saying a word.

8 mins for the flowering Kolli to get his hat-trick. (But would the hat fit on his head?)

I must admit - mea culpa doesn't quite seem to cover it in this case! ;-)

Christ, Kolli is looking shocking. Just resembles to me a preposterously hairy teenager who's won a prize in a raffle to play for QPR. Am I missing something?

Given it's an F A Cup game, that's hardly a masterclass in prophecy, is it?

Yeah - it's a great look, ain't it? 'Game management' for us on our own patch agains a team on minus points! I'm turning cartwheels!

I agree. We look a lot better, but we now need to get the job done.

Played some very decent stuff there, albeit against a very, very poor team. Only gripe is that we only managed one goal, when we really should be going in two or three up.

If Burrell's out for the foreseeable and Kolli's in, that is not confidence-inspiring to me. I'd hope we can bring in Chair pronto and play Kone up top with plenty of width in that scenario. Just not a starter for me.

Let's hope Burrell's hammy is a mild strain, though I bet the club will say he'll be back in a fortnight and we won't see him till Easter.

It may not be the main factor, but the club needs to show some professionalism and deal with the issues with the pitch-laying company asap. Not good.

We seem to have lost a bit of zip since Burrell went off. Kolli a passenger right now.

What a sickener, but it was probably coming!

How long do the medically qualified think he might be out?

Sweet, but so, so easy.

Now let's go and get a hatful!

Real waste from Burrell, though it's hard to get too upset with him after what he's given the side this season. Still, a big let-off for them.

Can't believe quite how open Wednesday are - we're all over them.

Gulp!

*Edit - our crossing still shocking *

A thread to which you've just given your opinion, like lots of others (complete with a bit of personal abuse), so you've answered your own question. Hilarious!

It frightens me if Burrell is really 'running on empty' after playing, what, barely 20 games, even if he is a high-energy, hard-running fellow. I'd like to know he feels. Does he feel tired? And are any other clubs facing this energetic malaise?

I also have this feeling the excuses on this topic are coming earlier and earlier with every season that passes. It's the same thing with timewasting. When I began watching football in the mid-70s, it would be the last minute or two, if that. Now 'game management' (the date of whose entry into the lexicon perhaps some bright spark can supply) seems to be perfectly fine from, I don't know, 25 minutes in.

I've already pointed out how, in the Prem League, the amount of time that the ball is actually in play has been decreasing season on season in recent years. Put them all together, and it's not hard to see the product is being systemically degraded in front of us. Personally, I still much watching games from the 70s and 80s on TV - by and large, they're more honest, more committed, and more entertaining.

It's also very difficult to 'own' anything when you're Madsen and Varane - especially Varane.
