Idah , looks slow and clueless
at 19:32 10 Dec 2025

I thought the same with Eom and VP would of got on end of it. I stand by my opinion that Idah was very much a last minute panic buy, as at the time we wasn't seeing the VP we are seeing now. We tried to get other players in and the one that was said to be the Wow signing. Can't overly blame the club for going in for Idah. Like I said I won't rule him out but I do think he is gonna struggle in Matos team. He isn't a player who naturally wants to do chasing down.

Matos has said if you show that you want to close players down and show that side then you'll get into the starting lineup - in so many words. Idah for me reminds me of Yates sadly. Looks like he is chasing people down but kinda gives up. I would like to see what Wales can do and given opportunity. I'm not writing Idah off yet but last night he should of stamped him mark on the game.

It's one game and Cullen like Keith mentioned is an enigma. I like others want him to be more consistent, but last night it felt like he was playing like he did in the Wales Squad. I hope for Cullen this can be his turning point as we need someone who can compete with Widell and both fighting for that place.

Cullen strike as Matos celebrates his first double !

What was interesting to me was how Oxford and Portsmouth tried to play dirty and we had poor referee in both games. Both teams tried to break up play. It will be interesting on Saturday. Imagine if we get a win and we then go into the Wrexham game even more confidence.

Like you and I said, let's just not get a thumping and show signs of improvement. Will I be gutted if we lose, yes. But as long as we are showing we are progressing that what matters.

It's a far cry from even a few weeks ago. Just don't balls it up now lads and build on the good feeling around the club and increased attendance.

Strangely I enjoyed that win more than Oxford on Saturday. We would of lost that few weeks ago. We are showing signs that we want to press and though improvements are still needed, I think we're going in the right direction. If we lose on Saturday, then so be it as long as we don't get a thumping and continue to show progress. Considering we had a few days to prepare for this match, Matos without his backroom staff, a team who is rebuilding confidence and the referee was terrible, this win should really be seen as a step forward. Just don't under the good work lads come Saturday.

Imagine Idah is being seen as adding energy to the team. VP wasn't great on weekend and gave it away few times with one header. Don't get me wrong I would have him as first choice, but imagine he is lined up for Saturday and will come on second half. No real issues from me, let's see what Idah can do. Shame to see Parker dropped, but happy to see Key not in starting.

Not sure what fans want. The amount of experience and players that left was crazy. For me Benson is the only one that really hasn't worked. Yalcouye showed glimpses, but not sure if by what Matos is coming out with if he feels he is working hard enough? You could see him slightly sulking in the background with his arms crossed in the latest inside Swans video in the dressing room. Who knows what the issue is there. Burgess has been hit and miss, Wales we don't know yet. Other than that no complaints from me. Only complaint is our performance and who is to blame for that who knows.

It was an extension to 2027. So in theory, it's a good time to sell him in the summer with 1 year left on his contract. If anything this is more reason to do it. Fulton is out of contract and should go.

Wrexham I have fears only because of Ex Players come to haunt us with O Brian. Also it would be typical for Keiffer Moore to score against us.

But I like your optimism 👍👍

I would prefer Galbraith in midfield but I'll have him in Keys role any day of the week. Key for all his intent of attack is terrible. I was surprised we never got a replacement for him in the summer. Galbraith was seen as cover but, Parker over Key as well. Cullen brings nothing. He is now a Bellamy player and that's it. Fulton I am his biggest critic, and I hope we don't give him a new contract next year, but has his place in experience.

Only question for me is can Franco go again? He has a habit like Eom of turning up for one game and not the other. I do have to say, putting aside Eom, Franco and Ronald bad habits of falling over at every opportunity, both Franco and Eom have started to buy into the quick press. It's been clear in the last 2 matches that both players have added this more into their game which Matos will want.

So will Franco have the legs? I would proberly go for Yalkouye. If not then put Galbraith into midfield midfield and Casey as right back or Parker. Inoussa for Ronald as well.

Other than that same again.

We need to take it too them from the kick off. No excuses about them being more fresh. Get a win and not only does it get up a few places up but it will lift the mood even more. If we lose against Stoke or draw, I would expect a good match against Wrexham. 8 to 9 points is minimal for me out of these 4 games. I won't be expecting much on Boxing day but after that it's Oxford again

Not sure we can be any worse for the amount of space Key gives away and no closing down. Tymon is not immune from that but at least he contributes in other areas. I like Keys intent to attack but doesn't work with Ronald well and leaves out defense wide open.

At this point you could put prime Messi in this team and it wouldn't make much difference. Reality is there is too many flaws in players basic play. Until that is sorted we will keep on losing. We need to win today, but the positive person I am, we won't 🤣. For me Cullen should be knowwhere near the team
Saying that Key for me is the one player who needs to be dropped
The amount of space he leaves players is nuts.

That today has told me we are going down. If I wasn't so loyal I would switch off
Get the players in a room with the fans and let it rip. This is a relegation team. have 0 doubts now.

Agreed. Lot of rumours I have read that O Dea wasn't the kindest or smooth talker to players. Who knows. Maybe he was but he has to take a lot of the flack.

I'm not totally convinced that the players are not showing effort and down tools. It's confidence in my eyes and its been hit by the poor coaching and whatever went on with O Dea and Sheehan etc.

Either way, at present they have enough time to get us out of this but players do need a reality check. Maybe go and walk the streets of Swansea, help go to Cardiff. Whatever your mood. And see how many homeless people there are and the poverty. As Keith said, Rangel used to go out at Xmas and help those in need.

Im not asking them to donate there wages in saying they need to step back and see that the world they live in and what they do doesn't just hurt the club but everyone in the city and beyond.

I'll support the Swans whatever happens. But players need a reality check, irrelevant of what went on with Sheehan and confidence. This is not the time to feel sorry for themselves. There is no loyalty in players and the fans will be here when they have gone. But if you won't do it for the fans, then do it for whatever pride and legacy you want to leave. But don't let it be relegation because the responsibility to keep us in the championship has a big effect not just on them but the fans and the City
