Taken off at Oxford, didn't play the whole game at Brum, and withdrawn at HT today. Eckert needs to stop thinking that certain players (ie; Leo) are made of tissue paper. |

New Year - but same old sh1t I'm afraid. At least the pikey's down the road fared a lot worse with a 5-0 thrashing. A small modicum of joy to start the year I guess. |

No surprise ours was the only boring, drab, goalless 0-0 game in the whole Championship this afternoon. 5 league games in a row without a win now. We're going nowhere and, if we're all honest with ourselves, we know we're simply not good enough. The January window isn't going to help either. TE appears to be in a place where he doesn't have any ideas on how to fix things. He needs an experienced assistant beside him. I'm not blaming him entirely. He's a young bloke with little experience who's been thrown into the deep end with no lifejacket. Whilst the players themselves should shoulder a lot of the blame, TE needs a helping hand & Sport Republic should appoint a right-hand man who's been there, seen it & got the t-shirt. I won't hold my breath though. |

I think we all are Baz! Beats me how we were playing decent fast flowing football in the weeks when Eckert first got the job. The players looked like they were relieved to have gotten rid of Will Still. Once TE was given the job permanently though, the players appear to have switched into comfort mode & look like they have little to no belief in TE or his way of playing any more. Weird. |

God we're boring. I am envious of clubs like Watford who have a host of exciting attacking players & who are great to watch. They will 100% finish in the play-offs. We, in the meantime, are the perfect cure for insomnia. |

Oh well, majority of our better players on the bench, Captain Jack still there, very little experience in the midfield, Baz still in goal. What could go wrong? I'm in !!! |

Eckert hasn't got any bottle. He's scared to death of conceding again - rather than trying to get us level again. |

What you gonna do about it Eckert - just stand and watch or fu(king do something about it? |

Birmingham have only lost once at home all season. On this showing, that stat won't change - not on this showing. Looking at the bench, can't see anyone who can really change our fortunes other than Leo of course. Hopefully he gets the nod and comes on at the break and NOT after/if we go behind. |

Coventry will win the league no question. Ipswich will go up automatically with them. Boro will lose out. |

Welcome to my world and my post earlier today on the Brum preview post! Hope I'm proved wrong too - but when something is broken (and it is), why wouldn't you fix it by changing things instead of the same old, same old - and just hoping that it goes well - which is what Eckert s doing? |

Ipswich just taken the lead at Coventry. I reckon those two will finish in the automatic places. |

Another defeat looms this evening - due to a mix of the wrong players, the wrong substitutes and probably another half-arsed, can't be bothered team effort. So a defeat tonight, followed by a draw at home to Millwall and yet another defeat away at Boro. We really honestly aren't all that good... and we've been found out. Listen ; I would love to be more positive & upbeat, I really would. I'd love to be proved wrong. But looking at the 2nd half against WBA, the defeat at Norwich, the draw with Coventry & then that really poor showing at Oxford the other day... says to me we've lost the momentum we had when Eckert was first given the job & that the players are in 'comfort' mode now and that new manager spark has been well & truly extinguished - and I'm not sure Eckert knows how to get it back or get the team firing again. I guess we'll find out tonight at Birmingham whether I'm right or full of sh1t, eh. |
