I was sat in a West Ham section and was pleased they didn’t seem to abuse him. Likewise I think it’s good that JWP didn’t go over the top in his celebration. He worked hard for WHU for a couple of years and should have some affection and respect for their fans. I know how pissed off we’d be if ex players give it the big ‘un when they play against us. |

Likewise I've acquired a ticket in the West Ham section so will be interesting to gauge our support whilst I pretend to shout "you facking cheating cants" at you in my best Essex brogue. |

My understanding is that he’s out on loan. I think he’s a fantastic prospect and very much hope he comes back. |

I thought that other than the feeble cheating chants they were pretty sound. |

I empathise, I had two blokes sat behind me who didn't stop yakking the whole bloody match and then only about 5% of their moronic babbling was about Saints. The rest being about ageing, loving their mother, work and blah blah blah. That on top of such a poor match made it like some form of torture - how I didn't tell them to shut the fvck was a miracle. Fortunately I was in the Itchen South temporarily and for me this is the worst part of the ground being cold, dark and grey with a shit concourse. |

Let’s be real here, we can hardly moan about cheating after what happened with the play offs. At least not for a long while. I would say though; that had we got the pen that would have been a ‘sliding doors’ moment meaning Bolton’s own rightful shout a while later wouldn’t have occurred as it did… |

The officials were piss poor - where do they find these fecktards? Didn’t Bolton have a shout towards the end as well? |

For me that was utter crap to watch. Good support from Bolton (in noise if not numbers) but quite why ANY away fans think we give a shit when they come out with the “cheating” chants is laughable. Who gives a fvck what they think. Oh no. Boohoo I’m so upset that people I don’t care about don’t like Saints. Whoopie-do. |

I’m sure that’s the case H and this must be discomforting for all those of us (including Muslims) just trying to get on with our lives and I’d add that it’s always good to see a muti ethnic crowd at SMS. That said, some surveys do reveal a worrying trend amongst the community (see cut and paste job below) which must be disconcerting for other sections of society? • Henry Jackson Society (2024): A poll by J.L. Partners for the Henry Jackson Society found that 32% of surveyed British Muslims favoured introducing sharia and making Islam a national religion. • Al Jazeera / Previous Polling (2006): Earlier historic polling reported that 40% of British Muslims supported the introduction of sharia in predominantly Muslim areas of the UK. [1] • Channel 4 / ICM Surveys: Various face-to-face and phone surveys conducted over the years (such as Policy Exchange and Channel 4 research) have historically shown that around 30% to 41% of respondents voiced some level of support for sharia law in specific contexts, such as civil or family disputes (divorce, inheritance). |

Three things which are difficult to reconcile for the left in particular over this: 1. Women's rights 2. Gay rights 3. Animal rights Assuming always of course that the 'right' believes in point 3..! (I'm giving the Tories a free pass on 1 and 2 having had female leaders and introduced gay marriage). |

1. The Blue Few were no better than the average set of away fans. I could hear them occasionally from the Itchen North, but no more than I'd expect from say, Watford. 2. I did hear them booing JWP, so despite one or two on here deriding him as a skate, it's great that he gets under their skin and I'm delighted he's back. 3. A micro detail here, but the playing of 'Fortunate Son' before kick off with the lyric "Some folks are born made to wave the flag - they're red, white and blue" was unfortunate given the colours of the skate's kit. 4. The PA system seemed louder than usual - was this designed to drown out the skates' futile verbal insults before KO? 5. SMS acoustics are clearly shit, but to me we sounded bloody loud. Well done SFC. |

I wasn’t a fan, but that seems unduly harsh. |

Russell fvcking Martin by a country mile. I absolutely despised the man. Then Branfoot and then the dog with a bank account owner Redknapp. Ridiculous caricature of a man. |
