I suppose he could have been unsighted as well to an extent. KG doesn’t half ghost around from these set pieces. He did it against Halifax as well. |

Brackley are giving Boreham Wood a run for their money at the moment as well.Currently 4-3 to the latter with 20 to go. |

Makes you wonder what the fee involved was given that it apparently triggered a release clause in his contract. |

Some interesting comments from more rational York fans on social media today. Consensus seems to be that they’re running on empty due to a packed fixture schedule and that they’ve played too many games of 100 plus minutes recently. They seemed agreed as well that they got out of jail in the Morecambe and Hartlepool games. Another interesting issue seems to be that some of their fans feel that they desperately need to sign a striker as they only have Pearce and Stones for that position? Contrast that with Dale last night where BJ could introduce Doku and Smith off the bench and still have Hendo up his sleeve. |

Is there an international fixture window this month? If so, is there any danger of Oli being called up again? |

With any luck Southend could be distracted by the FA Trophy semifinal when we visit them. They go to Southport the following week. |

It’s becoming more prevalent. Cunha has just been awarded a penalty for Man United after, to my mind, merely falling over in the area. And that’s with VAR as well. |

For what it’s worth York have apparently scored nine stoppage time goals this season to Dale’s one. That’s the highest and lowest in the NL respectively. Not sure what conclusions can be drawn from that. |

He’s gone straight into their team at Gateshead tonight. |

So if the average admission price was £20 there was approximately £30k taken in those away turnstiles last night. Nice boost for Halifax. |

York take all, or most of their chances from the looks of it. Fine margins: not for the first time this season my thought at the break was, “we could have been two or three up at halftime”. If Gordon’s header had gone in, if Mani D or Moss had got on the end of Rodney’s centre etc. Fact is we played lovely football for 30 minutes and then allowed Halifax back into the game by giving them the chance to get in plenty of crosses and by allowing their midfield pairing the freedom of the pitch whilst Gilmour and East retreated to the edge of our box. But there’s still a game in hand…… Can Jim lift them again though? Perhaps this run of fixtures has sapped the energy levels too much? |
