What will Reform do to fix it, do you think? |

TBF there have been quite a few threads on immigration. |

I don't think many on here have presented him in this way. Most seem to think his actions were at best ill advised but he didn't deserve to be killed. |

I think most moderate people wouild say that the ICE response in the first incident was totally proprtionate. The second one was not. |

The open carrying of the gun seems to have caused a bit of a fracture over there with the NRA not very happy with politicians saying if you carry a gun to a protest you’re less safe. |

He never says how he’d do it, though. |

I don’t think Lowe will ever return to Reform. He’d have to start his own party, demonstrably further to the right than them. |

I absolutely respect your position and I must admit, I’m pretty uneasy about it too. I just guess that felix must have forgotten to put a chart up un May 2021 when the Tories did exactly the same thing, effectively setting the precedent for what’s happening now. |

The majority are. There are also 3 Conservative and 1 Lib Dem. Down with me, East and West Sussex are combining and voted for the delay. East Sussex is led by a Conservative minority - 22 Conservative, 12 Liberal Democrats, 5 Labour, 5 Green, 2 Independent Democrats, 3 Independent and 1 Reform UK West Sussex is very blue - 40 Conservative, 10 Liberal Democrat, 9 Labour, 6 Independent, 4 Reform UK and 1 Green. I'm not sure why Starmer is getting the blame for this one not going agead or how the Tories can blame Labour when some of their councils are doing the same. |

Any of those apply to the man shot yesterday? |
 | Forum Reply | Minneapolis at 14:57 25 Jan 2026
It’s looks very much like the gun was seen, and removed. Then they shot him. It’s difficult not to put British sensibilities onto this when it comes to carrying guns, but in the us it’s completely normal. Where are we going with this? Any negative interaction with an agent/cop and you get killed? Blimey, we’ve got our issues over here and tbh I wish the police could be more forceful in some situations but not anywhere near to what we’re seeing over there. |

More may come out, but from what I’ve seen the ICE agents disarmed the man and then shot him. The counter argument seems to be ‘if you turn up at a protest with a gun, what do you expect?’. I don’t recall the logic being applied to Kyle Rittenhouse. |

If you’re getting your information from Johnny Maga, Wall Steet Apes and Nick Sortor then your position is entirely understandable. |

Another man killed surrounded by ICE agents in Minneapolis. This doesn’t seem to be calming down anytime soon. |

It’s amazing how he’s only managed to get a second hand peace prize. |
