Look at the players available now compared to before Christmas, James. The patchy recruitment was apparent then and again after the transfer window.

There's criticism on here for JS, and rightly so, but this season has also fallen apart for reasons beyond his control. We have a hugely inexperienced DoF/CEO making significant mistakes, and let's not forget that JS is his appointment. That's our bigger problem in my view.

WLS - Edwards might be moved into QPR’s midfield
at 09:44 11 Mar 2026

There's a big difference between Field and Kolli. Field has done a good job at this level for a number of years and is now playing well at another Championship club.

The manager is entitled to not pick Field, but he is the only one who has worked with Field in recent years not to do so. It's backfired now, that's mainly on the manager, and also on the DoF for the way that fitness and recruitment is managed at the club.

There's no desperate need about asking why our £4.5m central defender is potentially changing position again when we have bombed out a decent Championship midfielder.

If its goals that he's being picked for then why isn't Smyth playing? He's got the same number of goals from fewer games.

Agreed. Harsh to be writing him off at this stage. Still a young player and next season will tell us more. Definitely needs more goals but given what's around him I think he has earned another season to show what he can do.

Think you may be getting JS mixed up with BW.

Mr Cod is indeed still there, but a pale shadow of its glory days. Although maybe going there sober didn't help.

A bigger squad this year and we've had at least one striker to pick every game this year unlike last when we had to resort to the likes of Celar (20 plus games!) , Smyth and Dembele playing up front. And despite all the supposedly great work during the transfer windows, all the money spent this summer, and the apparent greater depth of the squad, Stephan has gained pretty much the same points per game this season as Cifuentes did last.

A fair point Wilkins. The question is why is the squad injury ravaged? Again.

The manager isn't the biggest problem here. If for the second year in a row you have five, six, seven players out at a time through injury then you're going to struggle.

Many of these are muscle injuries. For some players, Chair and Obikwu for example, we're not even told what the injuries are. The lack of transparency seen at other clubs on this and other areas of the club's work are damaging to trust. More to the point it raises the question of what they are trying to hide.

That's the Championship unfortunately. And as good as the Coventry performance was, they've only won two of their last nine games, and none away since November.

Sales of players who were brought in under the previous DoF.

I'm not sure how we can say the club is in a better position. It's too early to say.

So far, we've spent a lot of money, in part financed by relatively big money transfers for players signed under the previous regime (Eze, Armstrong, Kelman), to get a few more points than we had last season. We're in our second consecutive season with a high number of players out with muscle injuries, we have probably the worst pitch in the division, and it's not possible for us to fully evaluate the club's transfer details due to the lack of openness in contract lengths and transfer fees.

Let's see where we are in two years time. That will tell us a lot. Hopefully everyone will agree with your first sentence then.

QPR being sued

Very well put, Brian.

The sum in question seems very excessive, but there is a bigger picture here than the woe is me QPR perspective. As you also rightly point out the club has worked very hard on this side of the game.

Let's hope for justice either way as you say.

You're asking people to believe figures that you've told us have "reliability unknown", you're not sure who is included or excluded, or how typical that is.

Just asking you for the same facts that you're asking other for. Not too difficult surely.

Great to see him do that. A real sign of how he's becoming a leader in the team.

Easily lost? Or just looking for the facts you ask from others?
