Nightmare start to the New Year as Norwich beat QPR again - Report
at 11:13 3 Jan 2026

have to agree with all of that. You'd think we'd learn wouldn't you? After the Leicester win I was more than hopeful of us possibly straying into the play off positions and even staying there for a bit.
But of course, no. And I should know better. I'm more hacked off about this 'performance' than any I can remember for a good while (home v Blackburn under Ainsworth perhaps the exception). This bloody club - they trick you into momentarily believing, hoping, and then of course those hopes are mercilessly dashed.
Really excited for tomorrow now.

Thanks for another great preview Clive and as others have said, for another great year of writing about our beloved club.

I have never seen us beat Norwich, starting with that fateful away game in 1976 (from which I cried in the back of my dad's car all the way back to London).

I have a sneaking suspicion today could be the day. Crap as we were against West Brom, I think we're gonna turn it on today and win by a good margin. URRRRRRs!

Could we go up.
at 09:10 22 Dec 2025

been done to death on here before as to what our ambitions should be. Would be great to get some success, but if we did somehow manage to go up via the playoffs, next season in the Prem would be grim.

I'd take a top 10 finish (should be achievable) and a run to the quarters of the FA Cup (yeah, In know.....)

I remember his performance at the Emirates in a 1-0 defeat very well. Part pantomime horse, part audition for Rush Hour 2

Ethan Laird worth a shout I'd say.

Although only loans I'd also add Loci Remy and Eduardo Vargas into the mix. Had high hopes for Vargas for a (short) while

Plod easing their way through the terrace was often accompanied by a lot of fans giving it 'sssssssssssssssssssss'

Anyone remember that?

The best football played by QPR.

Although I went to a few games in 75/76 I was too young to remember them clearly. Quality of football-wise, the period when Ray Wilkins was running the midfield with a young, raw Les up front was a delight.

In terms of particular games, I'd put the 3-0 away to Everton right up there. Bradley Allen got a hat trick and we were simply untouchable that day

The worst football played by QPR

Blackburn at home under Ainsworth is the worst I can remember in my 50 years of going to Loftus Road. It was so bad I swore I was never coming back while he was still in charge. Fortunately I didn't need to wait too long

Most despised Rs players

Have to agree with you here. I was at Villa Park for our League Cup game against them in the main stand with a Villa supporting mate, maybe 95/96?

Hateley came on as a sub if I recall correctly. Someone played a ball over the top, I shouted "Hateley's gone"

Turned out he had.
My Villa mate couldn't stop laughing.

That said, I'd put Bosingwa top of the most hated list. Closely followed by Barton. Absolute helmets the pair of them

So Cifuentes ?
at 14:57 15 Dec 2025

It's all redeemable though isn't it? Just look at Andy Sinton. Loved. Hated. Loved again.

Personally, I'll give Cifuentes a warm reception - he inherited a basket case and turned it into, well, something less of a basket case

Late goals and wild celebrations at Loftus Road......

sorry if this one already mentioned but Charlie Austin v West Brom - I think in 2021?
scored a header in the 89th minute to win it 1-0. This was the first season I started taking my daughter and we absolutely loved it. Even better that it was clearly offside :)

I was at that one with my brother who is, shockingly, a Chelsea fan. I wanted to leave at half time but he made me stay.

Absolute scenes when Micklewhite equalised

One of your very best Clive, and that is saying something. I've read it 3 times already and will do so again. So many great lines in there, and a nice nod to the Chili Peppers I believe.
It's worth it isn't it? All the sh*te we have to suffer? It's worth it for nights like this.

The last two lines, worthy of the great Sid Waddell himself.

An absolute belter of a report. Thank you

absolutely - although he had a bit of time, that was a magnificent ball across the field. Don't know the stats but it seemed to me that most of his passes were forward today - imagine saying that this time last year! His redemption arc is great to see - looks like he belongs in that midfield now

Allen the master poacher sends R's to Wembley - History
at 17:49 5 Dec 2025

Happy memories reading this. I was there and remember it well. (Can't remember what I did yesterday mind).
Me and my mates were near the back of the North Bank but after the goal I found myself right at the front. One of the best surges ever.
I also remember how well Bob Hazell played - Big Cyrille was a great player and Bob practically marked him out of the game.
I agree re: Tony Currie - a Rolls Royce of a player. I was there when he did his knee in a pre-season at Wimbledon. He was sadly never the same player again. Would've been one of the all time QPR greats but for injury.
Anyway, this has got me excited for tomorrow. Yeah, I know, I should know better at this age.....
