Some good points mate and I appreciate the thoughtful response.
Field perhaps I lean towards because the stick he gets on socials is just so completely over the top it annoys me.
Agree on the point about the squad. As I said in the report it had issues at full back and CM last year and it still does. It's put the manager in quite a difficult position.
And agree with the last paragraph completely, apart from the 'level of stick' because I think I've gone out of the way to give Stephan the benefit of the doubt as a new manager in a new league at a very difficult club to manage. But I do think this was a bit of a mess. |

I'd certainly be using Hayden a lot more as you know.
But if you replace Madsen with one of those then, as Wilkins said higher up, you'll risk another Oxford H performance. |

Well, look, I actually agree with you on a lot of that.
Yes he has been a vast improvement this year on last, so focus on the positive rather than the negative, fair enough.
Yes, I agree, he's knackered, and has been overplayed, because we don't really have another player like him.
And yes, it does show character to come back from where he was in May to where he is now, and that interview in the summer was great.
So I'll take it, and try and be more conciliatory with him.
My annoyance this week is they've all shown you what they're capable of against Leicester, and then regressed straight back to the mean afterwards, and I've found that very frustrating. He's been one of the worst offenders. |

Absolutely. There's no cover in CM, which is why Varane and particularly Madsen are having to basically play every minute, and if I'm being more conciliatory why they also both look absolutely knackered. |

We were probably going to finish about there anyway.
The narrative that Madsen is some God-like figure is hilarious to me.
He was absolute fcking dog sht last year, and he's improved from that abysmal base level.
Best game was against Leicester, because Cifuentes was back, got his little Instagram post in afterwards, and then next two games has gone back to how he was last year. |

Maybe this'll be the next "marginal gain" some tiresome toss pot like Thomas Frank comes up with. Two GK subs on the bench and starts routinely subbing the starter on 60 minutes. Once we've introduced seven subs a game for player welfare reasons, naturally. |

He seemed to do it diffing a corner kick in front of us. Pulled up and then hung around at left back the rest of the game. Lucas Andersen all over again. |
