 | Forum Reply | Man United - You going down with the City at 17:46 25 Oct 2026
This stat says it all. Every one of United's opponents this season, has run more yards than them in the game. The only team United out-ran, was MancCity...and they were down to 10 men!! As we know: if you don't put a shift in, you won't win games! Fck'em!! |

And yet, I cant help being reminded of the words of Kipling: '... If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same...' Such shenanigans will only work if it doesn't inspire them in the return game, in my humble. |

Paddy, you're Irish. Who knew? Jimmy Dunne, our best Irish captain since Shaun Derry. |

He inherited a mess and a few years in now, he's clearly doing a better job than his predecessors, for which we can go back many, many years. So, credit is due. Would still like him to come across as a bit more 'fancentric' if you know what I mean. And if by dint of some miracle we got promoted, I'd also hope he wouldn't go all, premiership tourist on us. But like many who criticised him, his methods, thus far, have yielded football that's exciting to watch despite many hurdles we have to overcome to achieve it. Well done young man! A dozen games in, and the Nehru jacket remains in the wardrobe. He is just toying with the Championship. Certainly some of the best footy since the Don Howe/ Gerry Francis era. Think Neil played some great stuff, but we were a class apart in the league that season and I doubt his team would have been as dominant in this league, right now. Christ alive, Jools' has got Mben dawg, Tariq, Nico, Chair, and Buzz all out injured as well! It's a joy to watch at times and I tell you what: I think Jools knows a player when he sees one! |

If Nico, Keeley, and even Smythy and Lloydy teach us anything, it's that you just don't know! We all thought KA looked way off it, didn't offer much in the PSF either. Then a few minutes into the season opener, and it's all just clicked. Of course, consistency, consistency, consistency, but well done him and the club. We can only but imagine what size of monster is coming with Obikwu. |

If we'd scored two or three more, it wouldn't have looked out of place. We might of had to wait 35/40 years, but we finally got our Stuart Pearce! Boy Kemper is a 'kin colossus and to think: we'vealso got Cirkin, too!! I suspect most right sided wingers won't enjoy playing against him of Cirks. Everyone today was 'kin on it. Bloody well done all at the Rangers. |

Saying it for sges: don't expect/ask him to play football, just get him to bash a few CHs and feed him the chances. Good for him, good for us! |

I'd be giving the job specs of the '100 staff' a right going over. Really, 100? Bet we'll find a few years down the track, a series of job cuts, with no corresponding reductions in the levy. |

Just finished the latest series of 'The Diplomat' on Netflix. Reasonable watch, albeit I think much of the time devoted to the personal relationships of Kate and Hal, and Eidra and Stuart would be better used for the absorbing plot lines. One thing this shows does well, is leave it hanging, almost begging, for a new series to be commissioned. However, I read that viewership has fallen. Also looking forward to the season 2 return of, 'Dept. Q'. If for no other reason, than the show stealing performance of Akram. Wasn't a huge fan of Mathew Goode before this show, but in this, he was excellent. Always think he's a bit of a poor man's, Hugh Grant and wouldn't have put cash on him being as good as he was in such a, non-foppish role. |

Well, now we're on the verge of taking this thread over the line toward the random irritation thread! Another of my childish endeavours, involves bluetooth speakers. Hook it up to your phone, get it playing softly, then 'kin 'ave it! I was accompanying Mrs PH to an arts supply store when we were living in Doha. Seeing my opportunity, I peeled off and next, the staff were scurrying to the speakers display to find and turn off the offending one, which was booming!. Given we're in the desert, I thought Oasis would be perfect. Liam's dulcet tones advocating a diet of cigarettes and alcohol wasn't appreciated. Mrs PH appears uttering, 'That was you!', as I ushered her out when the security guards entered the picture |

Last couple of years I've been to Portugal and Spain several times. Although it's not really a 'touristy thing', you might know that in this part of the world, they sell a lot of ornate tiles, especially letters and numbers. Consequently, I've become obsessed with rearranging the tiled letters: P, Q, and R, whenever I pass a shop selling tourist tat. On one occasion Mrs PH popped out to get something, and messaged me a picture simply asking: 'Is this you?' I'm no Banksy, but I've got an idea how he feels when his work is recognised. So, next time you're in the Iberian peninsula, add this to your 'touristy things to do' list. Certainly on mine next month |

Very much a poor man's Cole Palmer for me. He's a moments player and you just hope he has more moments than not. Clearly something there, he's just got to find a way to up the moments count and impose himself more. For me he's someone I'd sum up by his shots: he tries to culture them in when sometimes, you really need to give it a bloody good wallop...if you know what I mean. Speaking of potentially talented midfielders, what's happening with Isak? Thought we should have seen an appearance before now. |

Ahh, that's bloody awful news! Like everyone here: Thoughts with Edward H, his family and friends. |

Think you called it fella. Because Mrs PH has to see the credits in their entirety, I saw that Odin was played by four different dogs. But you're right, he steals it. Don't want to spoil it, but in the end, Brad Pitt still looks better than one of our players recovering from a big injury and is more likely to play for us than Obikwu. |
