I don't know that he is even better than our last Manager Marti, who kept us in the Division when we looked highly likely to be relegated. But Stephan is certainly doing very well with what he has. I have wondered sometimes why we do not use Smyth's pace up front. Julien went with that yesterday with Smyth alongside the suddenly rejuvenated Kone and with the survivors of our injury decimated squad set up in 2 banks of 4 behind them, we were too good for the team who have topped the League the last month. |

That's an amazing turnaround from Richard Kone! From looking unfit, not sharp, not scoring, not getting much on target if managing to shoot at all, not being able to hold the ball up or link the play, until yesterday suddenly he's scored the earliest if not the quickest hat trick ever in English football, looked reasonably fit, a big threat while he was on the pitch and really enjoying himself. Føkking amazing Rich, well done mate! Really hope he can keep it going. |

I was going 0-1 until I saw JCS was out, which means Edwards can't solidify our midfield. So gone 0-2. Bare bones. Still hoping for a surprise win. |

I read somewhere research into injuries on both natural surfaces and artificial ones showed no overall big differences between the two, but there were a larger number of ankle area injuries on the artificial surfaces. Madsen? |

Sounds like a good idea if we could do it early in January without putting ourselves into financial difficulties. We need cover for M'Bengue for the rest of the season. While Adamson has done better than I thought based on last season I'm not convinced he's a good enough 1st choice RB, and Lampty's availability is very doubtful. We need Dunne at CB and Edwards where he is best, at either CB or central defensive midfield. |

I do think the number of games being crammed into the season needs reducing. For International players it's bonkers. I know it only effects us marginally but these Nations League groups are playing each other both home and away to determine Group positions. In an overloaded schedule that could be reduced to just the one game against each team in the Group. The League Cup also sadly passes us by but in the crowded schedule I think it has to go. I'd offset that by strengthening the rewards of the FA Cup. |

Hopefully Varane will be Madsen's replacement Saturday in a midfield 3 with Edwards and Kamara. Thought he played quite well when he came on last game. |

It wasn't long ago JS said we hadn't had many muscle injuries this season. I don't know if that has changed, Madsen seemed to get kicked near the end of the Derby game, but if the Club published what the injuries are as they used to do, a lot of this speculation would be avoided. |

I've never really thought Morgan was good enough for us, his passing for a midfield player was so erratic. It seems both our Management and Bradfords have similar opinions. Perhaps the best for him would be to be recalled in January and loaned out to a Club at lower level where he can get games and hopefully improve, though if we get more injuries to our midfield players he may get games with us. |

Good early report thanks. Agree with all of that. I do think we are at our best for tough away games like this one, probably other games Home or Away, with Dunne and JCS at CB, and Edwards, Madsen and Kamara in the midfield, but I guess the need to rest Madsen prevented this. Varane in there for Vale would probably have been an improvement. [Post edited 19 Oct 8:48]
