Just watched the highlights reel. Jeez - powderpuff tackling in the build-up to their first goal and what was Widell thinking with that pass he was trying to play that led to the second đ?? And the 4th goal??? Wow - he just let the ball hit him âšī¸
I take nothing away from QPR, but it doesn't help when we're gifting them chances/opportunities like that. |

I think it's the way that people like that politician react so quickly by comparing anything like this with Nazi Germany. It immediately shuts down debate, which ironically, is an anti-democratic value that the Nazis were so keen on. |

If you haven't seen it, then I can wholeheartedly recommend you watch "Praying for Armageddon" on the iPlayer.
It explains why Christian Fundamentalists in the US have such a massive hold over foreign policy, despite their flawed conflation of Christianity & Judaism.
Absolutely jaw-dropping stuff. |

He doesn't have the power to unilaterally withdraw the US from NATO đ. |

It's baffling. I know managers want players to be "brave", but whatever happened to the "If in doubt" approach???
Widell was caught out against Norwich, when all it needed was a punt off the pitch. [Post edited 14 Oct 12:47]

You're conflating a number of different arguments. This isn't about "feeling the love"; I'm sure some of our scapegoat players would feel the love if they scored against Cardiff.
But we're not talking about that in this instance. This is about someone who apparently isn't wanting to be here. If that's the case then we need to act quickly and move on. |

It's a good article, but football is a results-driven business, and we have neither the depth of squad to cover for this player not being available, nor the off-field resources to support him with whatever is causing his reluctance to be involved.
It sounds like this was a good idea on paper, but the reality is proving to be something else. So it seems like the best thing is to put it down to experience and let him move on. [Post edited 26 Sep 10:46]

He did well today, but I feel he sometimes lacks confidence going forwards. It's like he needs players to tell him it's okay to be in the opposition's half, and it's okay to try a through-ball. |

I think it would be quicker to list the games he's played... |
