Worse in the womens game apparently. Nearly all of the top players have had one.
QPR had there share, remember Carlisle and Langers doing their's in the same bloody match. Rufus Brevett caused Carlisle's didnt he?
Seems easy to do in the modern game. |

My brother-in-law lives in West Byfleet and when we go visit I take the kids on a little side mission to Horsell Common and visit the Sand Pit when HG Wells envisiaged the Martians landing. Was there on Sunday as it happens. Bloody dog walkers at every turn. The kids are yet to find any remnants of machines just yet. [Post edited 20 Oct 18:44]

Agreed, this subbing players out because they need to be looked after and replacing them with players who then get injured themselves, is a head scratcher to say the least. Paul Smyth and Boy Kemper were fantastic. Kemper had Bowen in his pocket and Smyth was causing them problems all match. Lamptey you just knew when he over stretched for a ball, he was done and Vale just didnt get going at all. And then, when you need calm heads, Mbengue is the last player you need coming on.
Having said that, before the game, Id have taken a draw all week and twice on Sunday. |

Well, effectively played the last 15 with 10 men and held on somehow... great result youd have to say. If only we can keep players fit, we've have won that. |
