Madsens dribble yesterday
at 19:26 25 Jan 2026

Agreed, was a huge shame. Massive chance for him and he totally blew it. I think both he and Kolli need a loan for the rest of season and to a proper stack of games under their belt. I'm sure a good League One club would happily take both.

Knock a nought off? So £5million is actually £500K?

Hmmm. Ok.

Notice a few people are starting to chime in about Madsen saying pretty much what I said verbatim in my post last week.

Top level scouts will be looking at him for sure.

I say you’re wrong. And we’ll see. Time will tell.

I was expecting the disagreement. But I am surprised no one else can see how much of a level above the others he is. Only Chair (on song) comes close.

But all I can say is you're missing how much he does and how much of it gets lost in the inability of his teammates to capitalise. He plays slick incisive super accurate forward passes along the carpet, he's keeps possession incredibly well. A Grade A Rolls Royce passer of the ball. He's class. He just needs to score more goals.

So - i'm just gonna stake it now - his quality will be confirmed by a big money move in the not too distant future. He has special skills. And only when he's gone will we realise how rare those skills are at this level.

Far and away our best player now. By a distant mile.

He is Premiership quality. His passing is of the highest level.

If only the people he's passing in our team could trap a bag of cement.

He will get a big move, I'm very sure.

I did say this after the West Ham game and people got very upset.

It's been obvious to me for a fair while.

And if he is to play it can't be 442. Time for a fresh system.

Kone playing in his actual position as a number 9
at 21:48 14 Jan 2026

Defo agree, Kone is an out and out No.9 and needs to be playing at the tip of the attack, not deep.

He'll show his true quality there I reckon.

Well Kev Gallen and Dave McIntyre wrote Kolli off last season on their podcast as not good enough - which I, and several others, called out at the time.

Now, as all the evidence points to the contrary, they're still failing around trying to justify their (wrong) opinion. Apparently he's not good, he just has big hair and Algerian heritage... hmmmm. Ok.

These are the people btw who said Madsen would never be any good. Now our best player.

So yeah, Gallen, great former player, McIntyre, good reporter.

Both couldn't spot a player if smacked them in the face.

He was a funny one. Got an out of the blue move to West Brom and then promptly disappeared.

Correction - a 'bone stress injury in his lower back'

Morrison going out on loan
at 13:52 13 Jan 2026

Been saying since last season that Liam Morrison isn't of the level. He's too slight and weak, not quick and not all commanding or good in the air. Looks like Julien Stephan agrees.

Vale is a bigger shame for me. He looked like quite exciting technical player, big and strong with it, but his total lack pace is problem. He looks stiff to me. That broken back injury may have taken too much out of him.

I'm not trying to assassinate Kone's character or say he's a bad player - I just didn't think he played well yesterday. His hold up play was poor and stopped us getting up the pitch.

IMO.

I don't think it's just outrageous or nasty thing to say. Surprised by how defensive people get about it.

Ok so the metric now is - is he better than Sinclair Armstrong and Lyndon Dykes?

Of course he is.

But he was still poor today. Not sure why it’s such an outrageous thing to say. He actually missed the header and scored with his shoulder so he was quite lucky it went in. He’s generally been poor in the air. His heading needs serious work.

He can still be a good player for us. Whether he can be very good is yet to be established.

I really hope he can. The player I saw play vs Wrexham looked very exciting.

Is this the name facts about Richard Kone game?

None of them change the fact he was poor today and struggled.

Yeah, apart from when he scored with his shoulder, he was poor.

Kolli, Madsen and Dunne looked the part.

Hayden put in lots of good tackles.

Showed he has what it takes again today, I felt. Really impressive from a 20 year old. Super sharp touch, great one touch link play and he's so strong.

Interesting to see which players looked comfortable at that level generally.

Sadly Kone looked out of his depth all game.

Thought Dunne did well but then go horribly exposed by Summerville for their second.

For me Madsen looks like a Premership class centre mid. Stood out all game as our Rolls Royce player.

Smyth was the big surprise IMO. Really held his own. Was pretty magnificent.

January transfer rumours
at 16:33 9 Jan 2026

Yeah we bought him for £850K

Frankly he’s hit a wall this season. He simply cannot move the ball forward quickly and decisively in transitions and turn overs. It turns promising openings into nothing.

Huge limitation in his game.

Anything from £3 million up we should take.

I don’t personally feel he’s ever showed ‘great promise’. I felt he was ok, as in, not a disaster, and pretty positionally astute.

Really the cause for excitement was he was young and new and from Bayern Munich.

And most importantly we were struggling at the back at the time and needed a new hope.

But to me his physique is a huge problem. He’s neither quick nor strong. He’s not commanding in any way.

And certainly if he is to progress, which I doubt he can, then he certainly needs to playing week in and week out, not sitting on the bench as back up.
