Was a great night, feeling proud that the hard work I put in was featured on the night and got to meet some of my heroes |

We wanted to go but trains are a nightmare weekend so gave it a swerve |

Yes that is true and I wonder if thats part of why the club don't seem worried |

WHen i say big I don't mean Eze level, more Luke Freeman, Alex Smithies 4-6 million type numbers and we've not done that for years. One problem is we won't be the only club who want to pay fees over 5/6 years so even if you get 5million for Varane it will likely only be half that this summer going into the account [Post edited 18 Feb 16:53]

Yes this is where I am with it. Without a big sale this summer I'm not sure they can keep pretending everything is brilliant |

If we'd got him a loan early in his career so he could have playted a full season in league one or two I think he could have really become a good player. His career is mostly limited to the odd start and mostly 20 mins off the bench so he's never really developed. We were right to sell him but he could still be a good and effective player at this level |

Yeah I'd agree i can't see us making the playoffs. For me the aim should be more points and finish higher than last season especially when you see how much we have spent and that is still achievable. Playoffs would be a hell of a season but I don't think we are good enough at the moment even when the injured players come back |

Doors open at half 6, I think they are going to start at half 7 |

If he is briefing against Nourry It's not a good look for Hoos, very much all about self preservation as would I be if that salary is right |

Once around I think, I gave them 58 mins of footage so should finish just as the players take the stage I'll stick it all on youtube next week though so people can see it |

The only players sold so far are ones from the previous regime. Dykes, Armstrong and Kelman with Field next in line |

Look forward to hearing from likes of Simon and Niall about what this means but hard to see how we don't face a points deduction next season given what we spent last summer and in January. |

Looks like they need at least one maybe 2 big sales this summer Wages spent £98 of every £100 of revenue is mad though and that has probably gone up as well with last summers signings and new contracts [Post edited 18 Feb 8:19]

QPR were originally due to play West Ham after the Leeds game but we moved it to January as we were both out of the FA Cup. Played on a bog of a pitch with Stan Bowles missing we lost 1-0. If we hadn't moved that game then we'd have had the chance to win the league at West Ham and the Wolves v Liverpool game wouldn't have mattered. |

They are in colour. Another QPR fan called RIk bought the highlights from the BBC years ago but didn't have the technology to get it on youtube so he very kindly lent me a number of his dvd's with some real QPR treasures so they can be seem by a wider audience. The whole 20 mins of highlights of the Liverpool game is a joy to watch, I'd never seen it before. Also goals from Newcastle and Norwich at home plus highlights of Man Utd away from that season. I'll post them all on here when I've uploaded them as I'm sure a few of you would enjoy them. |

AT the moment almost everyone in the league is in playoff contention bar the bottom 6, it's a bit of a freak year Given the transfer fees we spent last summer and the year before you'd be hard pushed not to improve on the last few seasons |

I'm not sure where Bennies best position is, he didn't look very good up front or out wide. You'd hope the club would have some idea of where his best position is by now so guessing they see him as a winger. |

It's not just Millwall either. Preston regularly finish above us, were dreadful last year and are now leaving us behind. Bristol City as well regularly outperform us and make big money from sales whilst shopping in the same supermarket aisle. |
 | Forum Reply | Blackburn Reflection at 10:39 16 Feb 2026
I do agree but the clubs priorities are to sign young players, develop and sell on for money then reinvest. Having a good competitive team today is quite a long way down that list and it shows every season for a decade now. |
 | Forum Reply | Budget? at 10:30 16 Feb 2026
Clubs do a good job of hiding so much it's always hard to tell whats true and what is bullshit. I don't pretend to know exactly how much we spend but if you look across the league you'd think budget and spend wise we should be on a par with Millwall. If you look at them they have been in the championship for 7 years, they have finished above us in every season apart from 2020/21 when we finished 2 places and 6 points ahead of them. This year they are right in the race for top 2 let alone the playoffs so why can they do this better than us every season? Easy answer is Steve Gallen but he's not been there the whole time, they were outperforming us before he joined. They don't have a genius with secret labs like Brighton and Brentford, they sign good players for cheap and sell them on for good money whilst employing good managers but the end game isn't to sell people it's to have a good football team. When you do that you are high up the league, you have good players and other clubs will want them. We make it all sound so difficult but on the list of things we want to achieve I always think having a good team now is quite low down on the list from people running the club and that is not new it was the same under les. Flavio was a lunatic but his aim was always have the best QPR team possible and be winners rather than sell someone for big money. Nourry and his main supporters bang on about how much the club has changed, how much better it is with more development etc. 9 years ago in 2016/17 we started to see a bit of what Ferdinand was trying to do. We had signed a lot of crap but also had some prospects who would go on to get money for or would be regulars for us for a few years, Smithies, Chery, Hall, Luongo, Furlong, Freeman, Manning, Chair and Eze. 2017/18 we added Bright and Smyth to that list I mentioned this because I look at our squad now and I'm not sure things are hugely different. Some good promising players we might get a few quid for but enough to put a team together to achieve anything or enough to get big money? I'm not really convinced at the moment. It just feels like more of the same to me and that I've seen this all before. This isn't meant as a dig at Nourry or anyone really, I'm just not sure we've got our priorities right. |
