A report as good as the game and the QPR performance but I expected nothing less.
I mean, I would have given the MOTM to Smyth but you can’t go an against a hatrick in the first 15 minutes, can you? |

I’m almost embarrassed at how much I like Jimmy Dunne. |

Tactical masterstroke by Stephan pairing Smyth's pace with Kone up front.
Especially against a high-line possession team like Swansea.
A really clever use of the (diminishing) resources available. |

Vancouver posted a thread about the next three games a while back that I was going to post on but didn’t.
Sadly my thoughts were how the morale of the fan base would react to 0 points out of 9 which is what I envisage with a loss tomorrow and next week on the south coast.
I hate to be this gloomy but with the injuries I can’t see it any other way.
I hope I’m wrong, of course. |

I wasn’t particularly saying ‘you’.
I said let ‘us’ not, as I have seen a lot of revisionism about the Hoos / Ferdinand era posted on here.
But if the cap fits?

You have a point about the fag end of the Hoos / Ferdinand era BUT remember the early years were about reducing the enormous wage bill (post Hughes & Redknapp.)
Lee / Les managed to do that and keep us out or the third tier. Some achievement.
Maybe they served their purpose and it was time to move on but let’s not trash their legacy completely. |

I think most of our support ‘lost it’ on 92 minutes. |

Reply | Bowen's tackle before the goal - good tackle or should have been called?

Rarely I disagree with you Clive but I've watched it back a few times now and it gets worse every time.
Bowen gets the ball but comes through the back of the player and is a bit out of control.
The sort of challenge that would have been acceptable by a Mark Dennis or a Stuart Pearce 40 years ago but in the modern era? I don't think so. |

Assuming he’s not carrying some minor injury that we don’t know about, I would definitely start him on Friday. |

If he had stayed ‘fit’ and with Jamaica, he would have flown back on the Thursday and been a doubt for the WHam game anyway, because of jet lag etc.
Hopefully his ‘injury’ is a tactical one, like the ones Ryan Giggs used to ‘get’ which prevented him playing in Wales’ friendlies. |
