Great decision by Julien to play Smyth in a more central attacking role. Swansea hadn't prepared for that. He was outstanding.
How do you choose a mom from that lot today. Adamson, Smyth, Kone, Edwards, Kemper all excellent. The rest weren't bad either. |

I seem to remember, in the early season games we were saying how much fitter they were looking and keeping going at the end of games. However, that was before the fixtures started to pile up. |

It's a bit of a mystery. He played the full 90 in the EFL trophy 4-0 win over Rotherham, then on the bench, unused,for two matches, then not in the squad.
They are doing well just one point behind the leaders and on an unbeaten run, but, to drop off the bench? |

I don't see Edwards in midfield if Jimmy is injured. We will need Ronnie at the back, the only right footed alternative is Morrison. |

Back to back three game weeks is unusual though, isn't it.
Unnecessary too, as we are now in back to back weeks without a midweek game. |

I think we need to be just a little bit better at using our subs. Using up the three allowed windows to only use four of the subs is not smart.
Maybe change one at half time leaving three opportunities for substitutions. Alternatively, use two windows for two subs each and keep one available until near the end of the game. |

A fellow R and friend's wife is a fully trained paramedic and is sometimes part of the team on duty at Loftus Road. She wasn't there on Wednesday. It is almost certainly a paid for service as there is always a fully trained and equipped team present.
So there may be some St John's volunteers but there is also a professional service available. |
