I am sure Leeds thought the same when we won the play offs, but it worked out OK for them. Sometimes you need a season to rebuild, and we certainly did. However, I don't think we will compete next season either as clearly all is not well at the club. |

Sorry to say I think he will fail at Everton and end up somewhere like Forest or a Burnley type club. He has some skills but no real final product and I dont think he will grow to be one of the best later in his career sadly. |

Controversial perhaps, but I would let him go. Get some money in and find a Championship style defender, with experience preferably as that is the league we are going to be in for a fair few years I reckon. Not much point keeping him if someone offers good money as he has never shown that he is gonna be one of the greats. |

Not an impossible dream, but we would need to average an absolute minimum of 2 points per game from now on to get into the top 6. So far we are on 1.285 approx per game. We are on target for maybe 60 points. But, hopefully we will improve on this ... but can we hot the dizzy heights of 2+ points per game for the last 18 games? |

Just saw a post on Facebook showing the 2nd division standings on 22 January 1977 and we were not so far off where we are now. An omen? Many of you will remember that the season after this one we were promoted.

Blimey. It is a case of pin the tail on the donkey. Who knows which Saints will turn out today, how we will play. If, at last Tonda and the players have had this honest chat and it works we could well win. More likely we will not of course, but we can but hope. If he selects the right XI and tactics and stays away from the so called troubled players, we might just get something.

It is not the players that are the problem, more so the training and coaching. A lot of players we let go who were OK, but not great, become great at other clubs. We have serious issues behind the doors with coaching, training and probably management also. |

Interesting to see (if I read it right) that there are 14 EPL clubs in the draw and 11 Championship clubs in the draw. Too early to say but with the right draws, it would be nice to see a lot of the Championship clubs go into the 5th round draw. |
