Allarakhia offered next to nothing so rightly got hauled off, struggling to understand why you'd ever take off Mani D when we desperately need a goal.

We paid the price for a slow and lethargic first half and only woke up second half, some of the final balls were uncharacteristically very poor either under or over hit, no time to hammer the players as they've been immense all season but now isn't the time to drop off the levels and 'rest' better players.

It was a mistake to leave out EEL and not sure what's going on with Gilmour but its too much meddling in critical areas

Im still trying to work out how Rodney fails to hit the target from a point blank free header that was actually harder to miss than score.

Struggled first half, look a bit disjointed and overrun at times.
Long way to go though and sure Jim will change things around

Then concede immediately from a routine set piece into the box, terrible defending header looped over the keeper

On a different note who was it that slid in to dive a header out for a corner to Carlisle and stop a certain goal, was it Moss towards the Pearl St? One of the bravest headers ive seen for a long long time as it looked like he was going to crash into the post too

I was in the Pearl St end and all the searching bollox is completely unnecessary and ridiculously ott, why do we now need searching when we haven't for decades previously, what's changed?

What do they seriously believe OAPs and young children especially are wanting to enter the ground with?

Surely an easier way to deal with potential flash points after a game like yesterday is just keep the away fans in for about 10 Mins after the final whistle, allowing all the home fans to get on their way if they so wish, its not brain surgery we're trying to fathom out here.

Its mad how we all see the same things yet think very differently, im a big fan of his usual creativity and movement but thought Barlow was poor and hardly touched the ball from where I was sat. We retained the ball very well but the execution of the final ball forwards was poor and under hit in the first half handing possession over, a solid performance against a decent side that I didn't feel offered nowhere near enough dangerous moments towards our net.

Pies 6 quid? Kinel. Have they gone up?
at 16:57 3 Feb 2026

If there's no more than £1 profit as you suggest on a simple snack we may as well just pack it all in now, the reality is theres far far more profit in it for anyone charging an obscene £6 for a pie. When clubs like United with their overheads are charging like £1.50 less per pie and clearly still making a profit someone somewhere is clearly taking the piss.

A pie should never cost £6 regardless of 'margins' its an absolute piss take, theres not a chance they cost £5 to make individually 👍

As a bit of a comparison I recently bought 2 catering sized from from Burnden Pies its been there for decades loads of filling and they cost £25 each and served 12 decent portions 14 at a push

Regardless of formation, tactics etc we are truly spoilt with some of the players currently turning up for us week in week out, lads like Gilmour,Gordon,East even the likes of Barlow are naturally levels above this, ive made my points clear about the pass pass and more passing but credit where its due Jim's got them absolutely flying and the amount of effort and running it takes to make it look this easy every week is nothing short of phenomenal.

Without sounding all Billy big bollox today's game played out like a pre season run out against a side several leagues below.

Injury Time winners

I remember Le Fondre scoring an injury time winner at Bradford too, still got the scar when I ripped the skin off my shin on the seat in front....well worth it though

Not too sure its a hopeful cross, he looks to whip it in too fast for a cross... not too bothered either way but you cant quite beat an injury time winner

Ultimately its purely a result driven business and I appreciate that and the fact is its clearly working whatever my or your opinions might be, I just think there's more than one way to skin a cat and yes we do hurt teams by passing backwards in my opinion too many times, I just feel with the talented bunch of players at our disposal we're more than capable of blowing teams away playing on the front foot a bit more rather than getting into an arm wrestle down at a level where most other teams are ability wise.

I know you're a massive advocate for it but weirdly you can also 'retain the ball' going forwards too you dont have to go 'sideways and backwards' to keep hold of the ball, neither do I expect us all guns blazing gunning forwards all the time at any expense either.

A quick forward pass when we turn the ball over in the centre of the pitch to break can catch the opposition out of position just as much as going backwards with 14 passes first, I just felt we didnt mix it up anywhere near enough which lead to a very static predicable performance, thankfully two clinical finishes separated the sides in a game in all honesty Morecambe more than deserved a point from.

I know exactly why its done but not sure what turning backwards allowing the opposition then re set and mark up ever helps us. I also noticed Morecambe do exactly the same too and its boring as sin to watch, their centre back, keeper and number 8 dropping deep touched the ball more than anyone on the pitch and usually totally unchallenged or pressed to even force a pass, its weird how the games gone from where I sit.

Was interesting to watch the front players practicing the one touch and finish on both feet in the warm up, both finishes are worthy to win any game after it seemed we may struggle for the win. All match while I appreciate the possession based football we play is clearly working the insistence to turn backwards towards our own goal even when carrying the ball forwards was naturally more of an option is confusing. Credit where its due though the lads always seem to have another gear if needed
