I think the clamour for Waller was just that most wanted someone (anyone) who's not Ramming. Neither inspire me with any confidence. You contradict yourself a bit by saying it's tough to blame Watson for this and then a couple of sentences later blaming him? |

Probably best to draw a line under that one as soon as possible. As abysmal as we were, I was quite impressed with Accy. Never stopped pressing to give us a foothold in the game and they had some slick, incisive moves. We could probably do with Tutonda at the moment, he had a good game. That's ten shipped in three games now, the 'Flint Effect' has well and truly worn off. |

Don't want to single him out because pretty much to a man we've been awful but Sherring's confidence looks shot to bits and he doesn't want the ball anywhere near him. |

Though the goal came from a cock up Accy are good value for their lead, we really haven't got going. Tasker is much better going forward than defensively and not sure Waller is really any better than Ramming. [Post edited 24 Oct 15:26]

What would the cost be for a process such as this? Though I suppose any outlay would be mitigated by having players that have a higher chance of remaining on the pitch. I'm not privy to what the club does or doesn't do involving players health and fitness, there seems to be a tacit acceptance that the trainers are at fault. Maybe they already are sanctioning a lot of what has been suggested and it's just been an extraordinarily freak year in terms of injuries? What are other clubs lists like? [Post edited 22 Oct 12:33]

Probably got away with one there after scoring with perhaps our first meaningful attack of the second half, we couldn't match Grimsby's energy for much of it. Makes you wonder why Hendo hasn't featured more often this season, he's still got it. Thought Wilson bounced back well after Saturday and it's a decent point overall. Yet another potential injury with Taylor. |

A watchable half, Grimsby are decent and very direct. Don't think one will be enough and might be an idea to hook Adeeko at halftime. |

We did learn that our 37 year old centre half is a pretty good option to throw forward in desperation to cause a bit of panic and consternation. You'd hope that's the kind of thing Mani would be doing but it's just not happening for him at the moment though I didn't think he was terrible yesterday. |

Not really sure what Waller was doing for their second either, thought he might have been able to cut the cross out. Need to find a way to get Tasker and Middleton involved more, everything is going down the other flank with Hayes. |

Terrific atmosphere today despite not being the greatest game. Swindon were extremely limited but probably had the better chances until the game became stretched in the final 20 minutes and we were able to get Middleton involved more. And what a horrible sight for a tiring defence it must be to see Hayes introduced. Thought their lad was a little unlucky to walk as his initial yellow was for a pretty innocuous clash with Sherring. Solid win and so far I've seen nothing in this division to frighten us and we can hold our own. |

Not sure who it was but I don't think it was Flounders. Seems like half the Burnley team would pitch up at Dale at some point. |

Massive blow, Watson really has been dealt a bad hand with injuries. Seems imperative that Flint's deal is extended until at least the end of the season now if possible and Sherring will need to show more than he has thus far. Not sure how far off EEL is, I've more or less written Maguire off of ever being consistently available. |

Middleton really stretched them, had a great battle with their wingback (Cirino?) who I thought was lucky not to walk himself after pulling Middleton back late on whilst on a yellow. |

Luckily Fleetwood are advocates of the shoooooooot policy you champion, they were woeful at it. Great 3 points, Flint does the no nonsense defending but I thought Wilson had a much better game today and he carries the ball out of defence really well. Now we're looking a threat at the other end as well and plenty of firepower off the bench when they tire. Not getting carried away but things look a whole lot better than a few weeks ago. |

Boreham Wood haven't suffered from a Wembley hangover or the loss of Abdulmalik in the slightest, pleased for them as they play some good stuff. Lee Clark falls on his sword at Hartlepool after they got beaten by Worthing, surely won't get another chance somewhere else now? |

Didn't see it today but were they as poor as Shrewsbury were against us? Dale, Latics and Shrews all sat on 7 points now, we remain Newport and Crawley's only victories this season. I didn't think Gillingham looked anything special despite them spanking us, likewise Walsall at their place, yet both are riding high. I know it's early days but maybe the quality of the league isn't particularly strong this season and if we can continue to make ourselves difficult to beat we should be fine. Might not be the sexy football Watson promised but maybe that will come with time. |

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ Just having a look at the Wikipedia page for that season, there was some quality in that team and we were never really going to struggle. Think someone has been fiddling with the editing though, I can't remember Keith Keane scoring let alone nine goals. |

I was referring more to social media, where he seems to have been made the scapegoat and target of sneering comments for our poor start. Reminds me why I should avoid it, plenty of condescending people on there as well. It may transpire he's not up to it any more but at least he's not sulking and I just think the guy has been a solid pro for us and worthy of more respect, apologies if that's being sentimental.
