Just saw Sky highlights, that was a stonewall penalty. |

I know the general opinion is that Steve Cook will leave at the end of season but today walking back to the car I heard his name mentioned as many times as Madsen and Kone in a massively positive light. Have to say the whole back 4 looked stronger without the madness at RB. Van Dyke is the same age as Steve Cook and still near the top of his game, Cook’s reading of the game is brilliant and we have another captain on the pitch. Wonder whether the extension also had a number of games played rollover. I know I am in the minority but I would keep him, I’ve also been to enough away games to know his standards don’t drop |

I have a free morning and just read Clive’s report when Poku signed. Over 180 EFL games played in League 2 and League 1 by 23 years old, clearly not a crock when we signed him. Reading it again made me think we do have a potential star in the building. I know nothing about hamstrings but if necessary don’t play him again this season in 1st team to make sure, Beale owes Chrissy Willock for bringing him back too early. |

Smyth Miss in 1st half almost as bad as the sending off. He had time the whole goal in front of him, at least get the keeper to make a save. 2-0 and the momentum that brings would have changed the game. Madsen getting better but really liked Vale in the 10 position, lovely passer. Unlike others my section thought Kone far better as an out and out striker, chalk and cheese compared to Oxford. Still can’t believe last 4 mins gotta get it out of my system as have the players. |

With you on the potential quality of the game. We haven’t played well in the league since Leicester. Surely some rotation tonight despite limited options. Field and Morgan surely in the picture but no other options up front. Banana Skin of a match |

Anyone know if we can recall Alfie? Seems a like for like ( if not as good) for Burrell and could warm up a spot on the bench |

Well he hasn’t played any games so should be a formality. Must mean Madman stays RB which is a good thing also, a lot of Reading fans said that was his best position anyway |

Here’s hoping under promise and over deliver, rather than the norm. I’m sure Chair was due back over Xmas |

I just don’t get it. You’re living the dream, working the dream yet produce recurring nightmares. Mr Elbow is spot on and tonight I wish i lived further away than Reading. See u Sunday guys |

Can see that working. We all agree Madsen is the best passer in the team, who is the second best? When he was fit Harvey Vale would fit that description, but understand he had a bad night at WBA. |

Brilliant report on a brilliant day. Ayew pretending he had a head injury summed up his contribution when even his own players ignored him. Football so much more than price tags. JCS definitely limping on his left foot towards the end of the 1st half and kept feeling his ankle, so Cook coming on shows not wanting to take a risk. Chair back over Christmas as well. Agree Clive I think the next 2 games will tell us a lot about this team. Mbengue played a lot of games at RB for Reading so no surprise he is comfortable there. Clive thanks again |

I am the least critical fan I know and like a lot of us only qualified in opinion making. But 5 games in 15 days and 4-0 up meant the luxury of early subs to rest legs. If ever Michi Frey was worth a risk surely yesterday to rest Kone, same with Burrell couldn’t we have bought Smythy on earlier to replace him.Not my decision but surely Poku and Smyth coming on with only 10 mins left too late. I do note a 6 day rest til Boxing Day. |

What I couldn’t work out was why the sprinklers were on before the game on that side |

Best LB in recent memory, would rather buy him than Ronnie |

Back to the tickets, Clive how are you getting 15 odd? Looks like we can only buy one on our account number so the crew all around us cant guarantee we all sit together. Wondering will it be like a normal away game and you just sit or stand where u want? |

Amazing amazing report. I watched the game from 30,000 ft while the rest of the plane was asleep ( I’m not a pilot btw) airline Wi-Fi lost signal or whatever on the 91st minute but still getting notifications. Woke a few with a Bollox and then more with COYRs. I missed Hull, WBA and Brum so see you next season. Clive actual masterpiece and felt the emotion |
