I'm three episodes in - really like it. Maybe it's becuase I love seeing parts of London on dramas etc and especially bit's of London and buildings I've worked in. The skyline isn't for everyone but by Christ I could look at The Gherkin, The Scalpel, The Cheesegrater etc all day long especailly when set against the backdrop of Tower Bridge, Shad Thames etc. Sophie Turner not too shabby either. |

It used to be the case that the saying "the truth will out" always came to pass. In this modern world I'm not so sure. We're now having to contend with A.I, bots multi account using people and a general race to the bottom for the mass population in terms of intelligence and free thinking. I'll always applaud those going against the grain - even if it's a view I dont agree with. As you say.... that keeps things healthy. It also amazes me how much this sounds like it goes on at little old QPR. If a virtual non entity club like us generates that sort of thing WTF must things be like at the so called massive clubs around the world? |

Reminds me of this weird dream I have..... I'm in my car constantly going round a roundabout holding the steering wheel with my right hand, in my left hand I have a frying pan and I'm making pancakes. Spend the whole night tossing and turning... |

I'll have a listen to this when I get out of this TEAMS meeting I'm on. It seems to me that every striker we've had for decades has this rolled out in their defence : "don't really play to his strengths". Is this really a thing or are we signing strikers, giving them big deals and then leaving it at that and allowing them to fester and not demanding goal returns? I've given Kone half a season plus and I'm now minded that he's not up to it at this level. Never bought the early season hype and I found it most annoying that after 4 goals in quick succession we were treated to a walk around the pitch interview with him and Charlie Austin. All a bit premature I felt. Kone is as slow as a rainy Sunday and doesn't dominate opposition defenders anywhere near enough so his strength would be in question for me. I also think he's below average in the air (refer to at least two six yard box bad headed misses) and his ball control and skills pretty ropey. Passing wise I'm not seeing he has great vision and he also comes across as extremely moody when he hasn't got Burrell doing his running for him. Now...... is there a player in there? Despite everything I've said my answer is yes, but he's got a hell of a lot of work to do. He has shown the odd flashes such as giving Charlton's CB's a torrid time, beating a decent full back out wide and showing a great pass to Burrell to score in a game (opposition I can't recall). It's also clear that when he hit's a ball cleanly it can stay hit - he has got a rocket shot. One thing he does seem to do is track back deep which flies in the face of my view that he's letting others do all the running. I'd take him ahead of Dykes, Celar, Frey, Chris Martin etc but I'm fully on board with others here that note we could do with someone getting into these strikers and making them the next Helguson, Austin etc. (I'm not mentioning his apparent age.... some people on here quite touchy about that) |

I remember reading about Ferguson's approach on players on transfers and developed yoot and it stuck with me. Apparently he had the players charecters and personalities researched extensively to ensure they were the right sort before purchasing. Obvious you'd think? It's something I took into recruiting my staff over the years for my team but I will confess I got one or two wrong due to desperation to fill open spots. Players with traits that don't buy into 100% across the squad have to be at Adel T's level of contribution to carry, otherwise your team is a strong as it's weakest link. It is without question that Dumbele can "do it" - evidence for the defence Exhibit A - Plymuff Home debut and Ehibit B - Leicester first half demolition job December '25........ and that is what makes him nothing more than a cheat / flat track bully because evidence for the prosecution is basically every other time he's crossed the white line to play for us. I'd love to loan him to a club in Turkey.... sure he'd think he's in heaven but then to have 10,000 mad Turks baying at you for not giving 100% he'd realise what is required of him at a higher level. We, as a club (ie higher up's and fans), really do seem to constantly reward failure and accept mediocrity. So returning to Ferguson - the QPR Trnsfer Committee need to be accountable and be working 'kin harder in my book. Examine all the metrics and not just OPTIMA running stats, transitions and the like. Look deeper and also wise up on Contracts offered. Seeing on these pages earlier this week that Big Matt Smith was on £20k a week was sobering. Many, many years agao I had a brief chat with Sam Hamman the then Wimbledon owner. He clued me in how their squad were all individually bonused to the hilt and also a "shared pool" bonus for each match, clean sheets, goals, league position etc whilst all being on similar basic wages. You can't argue that this didn't mean all his players gave the absolute maximum each and every game. I'd like to see us take that approach but I assume modern day players wouldn't wear it. |

My musing from deep into the second half of something that purported to be Association Football:- Someone buy that **** Dumbele a fishing rod and sit him on the edge of a pond in someone’s front garden. ****** drek!! I’ve come to the conclusion that he is the flattest of flat track bullies. Literally everything needs to be going his way for him to have a good game / impact the game positively. This I find curious as you’d expect in League One with Blackpool he’d need to put it in 100% to get the reviews he was getting. I would hate to think he’s being given an easy ride by our current charges…… the surname does not a decent player make. I’d take two Bob and a conker for him in the summer. |

The only highlight can surely only be Madsen fighting with the wind to keep a ball just that millimetre over the line of the quadrant to take a corner? Modern Day Football Boiling MyPiss #3,156 - just put it in the quadrant and take it; preferably missing the first man |

Now confirmed. Hope he does really well up there. I like him as he reads the game well and will get better. Will agree he needs to be a bit more robust so hopefully a heady mix of oil residue, gas fumes and minus 10 degree Celsius will galvanise him. Good luck |

Heads up ......... If you have an Outlook email account the email won't show up on your iphone -- you have to log in over a web-browser. I've just noticed this is the case for quite a few emails from certain people like Bolt etc |
