Having a cousin who’s a Feyenoord fan she describes him as having a case of Larin-shytus |

His stats are really impressive He's a 30 year old who has played for Feyemoord for two seasons scoring 1 goal in 15 games. Before that he played for 3 seasons and scored 10 goals in 68 games Prior to that he was at Valladolid and scored 8 in 19. Before that 1 goal in 9 for Club Brugge and 7 in 29 for Waregem So very much a poor man's Onuachu |

We’re playing well but only 1-0 up. You can almost see what’s coming It highlights our continued need for a striker |
 | Forum Reply | No Armstrong Or Archer In Team Or On Bench at 12:12 31 Jan 2026
In 3 seasons Stewart has never played 90 minutes for Saints and has only started 4 times This means it’s extremely likely that we will be relying on an untried U21 forward |

I dunno, Armas contract expires June 2027. I could see us getting rid while we can still command a fee. If on the highly unlikely event we scrape promotion we know that Armstrong is nowhere near a PL player so it might be we get rid now |

If you believe the rumours Arma and Archer could be on the move so with only injury prone Ross Stewart left it would suggest we might be getting a striker. The only thing worrying me is SR's clear inability to identify anyone who could hit the side of a barn with a banjo The list of shame so far reads: Sulemana – cost £22m, played 74 games, scored 4 goals Onuachu – cost £18m, played 40 games, scored 4 goals Mara - cost £11m, played 64 games, scored 8 goals Edozie - cost £10m, played 63 games, scored 6 goals Orsic - cost £8m, played 5 games, scored 0 goals Stewart - cost £10m, played 29 games, scored 4 goals Archer - cost £15m, played 35 games, scored 9 goals Brereton- Diaz - cost £7m, played 13 games, scored 0 goals Damion Downs - cost £7m, played 14 games, scored 0 goals I should add appearnces include sub appearances So in three and a half seasons we’ve bought 9 strikers who between them cost £108m, played 337 times and scored a total of 35 goals That’s one goal every 9.6 games and £3.086m per goal Staggering !!! Personally, I never thought he was anything out of the ordinary. He definately has skill but I never thought he delivered particularly and he definately wasn't a team player. Just my opinion |

I think Eckert was trying to be clever and outwit Mousinho, when all he had to do was pick the team that outplayed Blades and roll Portsmuff over on theeir own patch As Sky said the fact that Fellows was dropped meant that L2 standard donkey Ogilvie was able to be an attacking threat rather than probably getting sent off for bringing Fellows down continuously Let's not beat about the bush. Eckert has taken 1 point from Norwich, Oxford and Portsmuff all of whom were in the bottom three and struggling with injuries It's just not good enough. Unlike previous performances I can't fault the players. This was entirely down Eckert picking the wrong team and tactics Time to cut him adrift We had the chance to go within 5 points of the playoff positions with a win today. With 17 games left it's still achievable with the right manager in charge [Post edited 25 Jan 17:05]

What did Azaz do v Blades to get selected and what did Fellows and Stewart do v Blades to get dropped? We pick Armstrong over Stewart and then go long Clueless muppet |

WTF was that starting lineup We haven’t beaten yet another under strength team in the relegation zone Eckert has to go |

Make that about 16 minutes to save his job |

That’s how long Eckert has to save his job |

A much better performance and a deserved win against one of the division’s form sides. The 4-4-2 / 4-4-1-1 formation worked really well and we weren't getting over run in midfield like in previous weeks. The fact that we dropped Wood meant that there was no hesitant sideways passing or passing back to the keeper. Welington showed defensively and going forward why he has to start over Manning. I thought everyone had a good game probably with the exception of Azaz who should have scored two or three goals. For me the stand out player was probably THB but the case could be argued for Jander, Fellows, Scienza, Stewart or Jelert who all had good games. It was great to see Jelert and Fellows combining on the right and Welington and Scienza on the left. It was good to see Stewart making space and holding the ball up. Even Downes had a good game. My only criticism of Downes is when he receives a pass he immediately knocks it back to the player who’s passed it to him without looking up. Often he’s in masses of space and could just turn and move forward but he doesn’t look up. If you look at the players who continue to play in this negative way it’s mainly Wood, Downes and Manning who have had this style of football ingrained on their brains by Martin at Saints and Swansea. Personally when Charles is fit I’d replace Downes with him. Put a run together now and anything is possible but we do need a striker in this window |
