I agree that Poku and his repeated hamstring injury is a real worry. I just hope that JC-S doesn't have an extension clause as his body is just not suited to a professional athlete unfortunately. We need Chair back ASAP. |

I'm not defending them but it's more down to the FA and what they've done to the competition by scrapping replays to appease the big clubs. It's hardly then surprising, when having cultivated such a culture, that the likes of the UAE do this. |

Been watching AFCON on 4-7. Algeria just beat DR Congo with a goal right at the end of extra time. Zidane's son is Algeria's goalkeeper! Nigeria looked excellent yesterday - God knows how they didn't qualify for the World Cup. The quarter-finals start on Friday and look pretty tasty. |

I really liked the look of Harry Amass, Wednesday's left back on Sunday. Apparently his loan from Man United is now over. |

Funny they've turned to someone who Hull sacked last season. While he was probably unlucky, he did have a lot of money and even Strasbourg have been well backed financially. I can't see him working out there - expectant supporters, weirdo owners and the legacy of their dirty cash years. |

Absolute nonsense to be rotating our goalkeepers like they're Shilton and Clemence under Ron Greenwood. Saito back in...because of course. Hayden dropped for having the temerity to tackle. And of course its 4-4-2. I still think we'll win though. |

I am confident we will win this, if only because any points Sheffield Wednesday get this season are semi-miraculous given the state of the club. It'll be interesting to see what names the Tinkerman pulls out of the hat. |

Just watched the goals back for the first time. Jimmy lets his man go for the first. He's played well recently but that is poor defending. |

I have always liked wingers (it's very QPR) and they've all shown flashes this season. Not consistently obviously, but I like the idea of having four players fighting for two places; it should spur them on to perform even if it's not working at the moment. However, the main problem we have is that the team is unbalanced. There's no point having two wingers and two strikers if you are losing the midfield like we did yesterday. Similarly, there's no point having two wingers if your main tactic is booting the ball down the middle onto the opposition central defender's head. [Post edited 2 Jan 17:41]

Good news. He did a good job for us but has been absolutely awful this season. I reckon he'll move back to Europe. |

Their keeper could have assembled a flat pack yesterday too. |

I agree that the starting line-up itself was okay. Didn't see much in-game management though. Wingers swapped. I suppose Morgan in midfield was an attempt to get on the front foot which didn't work. Kolli won some headers but wasn't on very long. It just seemed very one dimensional. Maybe he could have gone with three in the middle to try and win the midfield - they seemed first to most second balls, particularly in the second half. If you lose the midfield, you won't win many games. No point having two wingers and two strikers if you barely create a chance. |

If he knows it why didn't he play it against West Brom? Also (not wholly his fault), who is his first-choice goalkeeper? JCS, I agree but think that ship has sailed now. Chair, 100% for one of the wingers. Poku, not sure he starts for Stephan/Nourry over Saito. |

Yes, I agree. He's far too deep for me. |
