Perhaps Larin would have been as good as Archer a few years ago, but injuries and lifestyle issues have clearly caught up with him. Other teams manage to get good youngsters on loan from Premier League clubs. Coventry, for example, have got Romain Esse from Palace. I wonder how many goals Spurs' Will Lankshear would score if he were on loan here rather than Oxford United?
At least he comes out of his goal for crosses, which neither McCarthy nor Bazunu were doing. Sometimes you think, where's he off to? But, I'd rather that than a goalkeeper who just stays glued to his line. He appears to have one quality which is essential for a good goalkeeper: bravery.

Looking at his career, his better days were 5 to 10 years ago. He was scoring goals regularly for Orlando when he was a youngster. It sounds like injuries and lifestyle issues have caught up with him. He's prone to hamstring injuries and has now reached the fag end of his career.
I've never heard of him either, but a quick search reveals he's 30 years old and plays as a left winger or stiker. He sounds like a Canadian Cameron Archer.
What's the point of signing someone like him when we've been trying to clear out players who score more goals than he does? If he's not good enough for the Dutch league why would be good enough here?

I agree. I was sceptical because of his lack of experience and initially he was quite erratic, but he looks like a natural goalkeeper and an improvement on both Bazunu and McCarthy. Many have likened him to Boruc. I'm glad we got him.
