I live in a student house with 3 other girls, yesterday one girls boyfriend left to pop to the shops to find two JUNKIES on our doorstep injecting heroin. Apart from freaking us all out they left a bunch of needles all over our stairs and the police told us to ring the council who would collect them.
Council came this morning and refused to collect them as they were on our stairs rather than a pubic pavement/road.

Some silly people on this thread. Oh look there's needles on my doorstep, i know, i'll just leave them there while i go moaning on planet swans and twitter ffs.
I've removed needles before now, which is why i offered the advice, if you didn't have suitable gloves, use a piece of kitchen foil or plastic bag, just so that your skin doesn't touch them, it's not like you're going to be picking them up by the needle end and sticking them in your pocket.
How some of you manage to get dressed in the mornings is beyond me. |  |

dickythorpe - I don't know I would estimate in their 40's but they all looked rough as could be in their 20's for all I know.

The council put them in special sharps boxes like they do in hospitals, think this really is the best way to ensure no one gets stabbed accidentally - never going to get that level of safety if you do it yourself. | | | |
