Ticketmaster database hacked
at 18:52 1 Jun 2024

For some reason I thought it was Ticketmaster that was the 3rd party who posted our tickets out, perhaps not on reflection so I have edited the original post.
Must be having a senior moment after all the recent excitement…
Likewise, I use PP a lot for that extra layer of protection to my debit card when buying online.

I suppose if you wear an EMF hat to SMS you would stand out from the crowd, therefore would it be true to say you’d be seen but not herd? 🙂⚽️

Right, where’s the nearest mirror🪞

Agreed, it would have been great to see them go head to head over the hat on Amazon - I reckon Dave Gorman might even have turned it into one of his Found Poems like he did with the God Particle

Or the debate over Sat Navs v Road Maps
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Z_LkChb4uco

I reckon the guy complaining about the EMF hat just had it on inside out 😳

This is just one of 115 charges against City
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-12248483/amp/Manchester-City-

Probably the biggest stitch up has to be their inflated 10 year stadium naming / shirt deal with Etihad Airways that was put through the books at £400m when a directly comparable deal with Arsenal by rival airline Fly Emirates for 15 years, not 10 years, was for around £90m. The clear assertion is that through funding from third parties the Emirates deal has been over inflated massively by background funding City under the guise of the Emirates deal - trouble is, try proving it when City say they are co-operating with investigations but are not. The article below is as much about the airline as City so there is a second one below.

https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/premier-league/city-s-ps400m-etihad

This article is also quite interesting - and in our recent admin restructure didn’t we recruit one of City’s financial team 😮

Potential points deduction

I think we should be OK as it is a rolling three year period and in that time we will have had a better season prior to the two bad ones then 12 months on a much better season after the two bad ones. Bear in mind we had a nine figure income from player sales plus the parachute payment which is a real plus point now we have gone straight back up. The PP (first year) equates to more than some cartel clubs earn from the Champions League in a season so that helps. We also shifted some high wage earners off of the books. JWP was £5m a year hfor starters. The other factor is how well structured the transfer fee payments were and/or the lengths of contracts the waste of money players we panic purchased were on as you only have to declare an equal percentage of the purchase price per financial period over the duration of the contract. So, if Ocanuchu was £20m and on a 4 year contract we would only show £5m of the purchase price on the 22/23 season’s books and another £5m on the 23/24 season’s books ect… That’s why Chelsea were signing expensive players on 8 and even 10 year contracts until either UEFA or FIFA put a stop to it - now 5 years max. It might be close but I think what we managed to shift out the door permanently by September plus the PP will see us through.

If we don’t get a clearer view then perhaps ex-Saint Terry Paine may be in the know or failing that, as a last resort, we will have go to Man U and consult the Glazer family 🙃

When they had the SMS ground breaking ceremony the club sent an invite out to the London Saints Supporters Club. I attended on behalf of the LSSC, it was quite an interesting day despite the ground being little more than a construction site with the Northam end not even started on. The guy from Barr Construction giving us all the tour explained that they’d future proofed later expansion by sinking foundations that were strong enough to cope with expanding any or all of the stands so any future expansion would be a lot easier and more cost effective than it would be without the forward planning as they won’t need to strengthen the foundations to increase the capacity. From memory, there were various different options depending what was added on that increase the capacity to 38,000 or more depending how much was done. So, maybe any modest expansion won’t break the bank, given the pre-planning in place it will be more affordably achieved.

Season Ticket Prices
at 19:05 28 May 2024

No idea as yet, as an example, BHA adult season tickets are £595 / £620 / £710 / £860 / £965 - similar size ground.
Out of interest, Boscombe go from £379 family, then adults at between £633 - £875 and the equivalent of our Kingsland stand padded seats on the halfway line £1093. Really good kids and OAP concessions given their limited capacity.
By the way, have you seen this? The Saints bolt on packages for season ticket holders??? I’ll have two of the Platinum packages (not) 🤩

Bas Dost was my shout to replace Pelle, sadly I think that ship has sailed now; back in late October the Eredivisie match between AZ Alkmaar and NEC Nijmegen was suspended just before full time after Dost collapsed as he was making a run towards goal. The medical staff rushed to attend to him and players on both teams created a human shield as he received treatment. Glad to see he recovered after hospital treatment but looking at his stats show he hasn’t played since due to heart problems. Great shame as he was a player the PL definitely missed out on. Every bit as good as Pelle, if not better - why we signed that cart horse Carrillo in 2018 and left Dost in Portugal where he scored 76 goals in 84 games (2016/19) for Sporting CP I will never know.

Could Adam Lallana Make A Surprise Return To Southampton
at 15:05 28 May 2024

Now a third report of Ings returning to Saints, apparently it was on Talk Sport this morning as reported by Kingslandstand1 on his Dragon thread. Hhmmm… Che out, Ings in as a replacement? IF Ings stays fit, and that’s a big IF, then I reckon he’d probably score more than Che at PL level but I can’t see this being cheap so a bigger risk than Lallana who will be in on a free and not huge wages. I’d imagine the Ings camp will still want top dollar when it comes to wages and bonuses. Risky business IMO…

Agreed, I don’t think it would be a disaster either, I know the Walcott return was a bit underwhelming to say the least, that doesn't mean this needs to go the same way - as you say, he's looked fine in recent BHA performances.
Just to cheer some of you up, seen two separate reports linking Danny Ings with a return to SFC next season - mind you, one of those was on Hammers News so probably just wishful thinking on their part

2024/25 predicted PL table, and guess what…?
at 20:44 27 May 2024

That’s nice to hear that we are not being written off - can this super computer predict the date when City are done for their 100+ financial regulatory breaches? And Chelsea for that matter as they have spent £1bn since Uncle Todd rode into town 😀
If either or both get done properly then it could throw one or both into the mix especially if City got deducted 1 point for every breach 😮
Yes, I know, it won’t happen like that, they are fully paid up members of the elite cartel…

I wonder what J W P honestly thought at 17.00 yesterday.
at 15:54 27 May 2024

Mid-season, I was stuck in traffic on the M25 and flicked through a few radio stations and landed on an interview with JWP. The subject of free kicks / the Beckham record ect got discussed. Turns out he’s had to scale back the amount of time he spends on dead ball practise because it was causing a groin (think that’s right) injury so he’d had to scale things back considerably - he also said that the training was structured differently so the opportunities some weeks didn’t present themselves anyway. Add to that they keep updating the match balls season on season which can slightly affect the flight characteristics of the ball when hit so he’d need extra time practising to get the deadly accuracy back.
That’s the case for the defence milord 😇⚽️

What were the odds
at 20:49 26 May 2024

Today we were 23/10, yesterday United were 15/2 so by my calculations a £10 bet would have netted you a £172.50 profit.
Yesterday, I was a guest of the FA at the Cup Final, the full works, Royal Box Suite from 12 noon, lovely meal, Row 9 Royal Box seat. The subject of betting odds did come up at lunchtime on the table I was on, one chap pointed out that United were longer odds to beat City yesterday than Southampton were in 1976 to beat United!!! (15/2 yesterday v 6/1 in 76) He said it was a good omen so he’d had ‘a few bob’ on it. Turns out that few Bob was a £1k bet - he’s giving half his winnings to the food bank in Manchester that Marcus Rashford supports.
Pretty surreal day all round, not something I normally do or I am used to, but all things considered with today included it has been a somewhat unique footballing weekend 🙂⚽️🏆🥂😇

Yes indeed, that beat my previous breath holding record of 7.5 minutes at the 76 Cup Final after Bobby Stokes scored - today was such a long breath hold it nearly set off my implanted defibrillator 😳⚽️🙃
