Fantastic thread in the uplifting stories from the QPR family I have had a few the first for me was a hot summers day in 1979 and going to the dreamland ballroom in Margate and seeing this gorgeous woman in white hot pants and boots. Somehow with I think a lot of drink I went over to chat to her and less than a year later we were married....but in our defence I did get her pregnant, and as my oldest daughter reminds us constantly on dates The 2nd was my wife presenting me with our 3 daughters. They have given us pain, heartache and love, but most of all pure joy. From the 3am call of can you pick us up dad... to the shouting matches about that skirt is too short... to even this day them sitting on my lap for a cuddle and telling me I love you dad The worse was 2018....my wife went for a colonoscopy and me sitting in the waiting room. A nurse came out and asked me to come along to the office. I was joking oh did she throw up and now need a hand..... to be sat down and told your wife as stage 3 bowl cancer... in the end it took my wife to comfort me, I was gone in tears.... After the operation she arrested when on morphine, I just stood there with our youngest who is a nurse... I have never seen my daughter move so quickly... and throw me out of the way... in seconds there must have been 12 people around the bed... and me being led away... never have I been so scared Now 6 years later she is still with us. She is ot the same woman ifell in love with, life as taken its toll. But she still is the love of my life, not a case of I can't live without her, I don't thin k would want too |

Oh you're right premiership clubs never loan their players to championship sides... how remiss of me |

Was it logistically not possible to have this series over in the Caribbean/America ? Seems a strange decision to a) expect to get a full series completed in the UK late May b) then play your first game across the other side of the world a few days later. I thought the India test series was a shambles preparation wise, but this seems even more so. Hope it's not the case of"First game, only Scotland" |

Be nice if we could do a Crawley Town, one of the bookies favourite to go down and ends up promoted. L2 is a bit different to the Championship but who knows ? Realistically we should be a top 10 team with the form we showed from Jan, but we do seem to be a team of 2 halves... either we start off the season world beaters and crash.... or we start off gash and end it brilliant..... I would settle for consistent throughout the season and within touching distance of the play offs. |

Yep good win for England but apart from Buttler and Salt the batting looked a little sketchy. Not sure where though Pakistan are going especially in the WK department. Perhaps I'm being a little harsh, the lad as a strike rate of over 140 in t20i, but he definitely don't look like a professional sportsman, especially when they have Rizwan. |

I have that much interest in this that if I watch anything today it, will be the t20 England game. Fcuk both of them. The privilege vs pathetic and I'll let the board decide who is who There will I hope be tears a plenty in Carshalton and Godalming [Post edited 25 May 4:49]

Tin hat time here..... but I will vote Tory simply because of the local candidate Being an ex miner voting Tory was akin to treason and my grandfather would disown me. But in the last couple of years I have had to call upon my local MP twice and both time he as been really proactive. The honorable gentleman of Thanet South is also a pretty tough old cookie and to fight what he as been through takes guts and courage.... he'll do for me |

Think there will only be one place Pep will go and that will be Barcelona..... can't see him wanting England as it is real poison chalice ..... Think England will replace from within the organisation.... |

Exactly...it is basically a jolly up.... with the Euros just around the corner I can't see there being many 50/50 balls contested... or crunching tackles being made..... It will basically be what it is an exhibition...... 20 mins runaround for the main players.... subs by the score.... and a chance to sell Son... Isak..... etc shirts and pictures to be taken.... And a couple of rounds of golf in a nice winter setting...... |

If we are going left field then definitely young POTY for me would be Murillo of Nottingham Forest, the lad is 22 and look fantastic... granted only seen him on the box. Really though it pains me to say it .... for me it is Palmer of Ch#####(just had a little sick in mouth)... been great the whole season... I will now go and confess my sins |

When I heard our entry was "Dizzy" I had vision of Tommy Roe being resurrected.... then I heard it and thought here we are rushing back to last place yet again. We always watch it... when our girls were at home it was a staple... but then it was compared by the late great Sir Terry ..... and he was the best part of it. Now we have Radio 2 bombarding us with Ritchie Anderson and Scott Mills .... 2 of the most untalented people I could imagine (I don't mind Rylan) ..... |

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Wet Spam emulated that other entitled club .... Birmingham when they got rid of Eustace Unfortunately they have had a couple of London Derby tonkings and we all know how much they hurt. Isn't he the leading manager in games currently in the premier? Be a name banded about in the next load of managerial merry-go-round I'm sure |

Spot on Ted a win is a win and when the dust as settled we can look back on a pretty frustrating season but a season that as ended with a lot of hope for the future. That will totally depend on Mart staying and building on this The summer will be interesting, who is staying who is going and more importantly if we can get anyone in |
