This battle with Blatter is really about who controls the money, not the sport.
Too much money to be made for this to kill it off as a professional sport.

It's not just FIFA though. UEFA with their Champions League have made club leagues uneven and The Premier League are just a money making scheme. They put money ahead of everything and have even killed it off as a competition with ladder payments guaranteeing only one or two clubs can win the league each season. That's not sport.
