The transfer window is a time of clandestine deals, with all clubs jostling for position. Some clubs will let their players go early, some want to keep them til the last day.
Just because we want to buy players. does not mean their club wants to sell them now.
So how can we criticise our transfer activity before the window has shut? At least half of the transfer process is out of the hands of the buying club. How can some people not understand this ? | | | |

As you say Sonic, it is primarily in the hands of the selling club, and that has been created by the transfer windows with a deadline date meaning that club will wait til the last minute to get the best deal from a club that is desperate to reinforce. This is why you get these cringeworthy situations with live cameras at grounds interviewing 'arry at 11.30 on "Deadline Day" and schoolboys who should be in bed being tw@ts in front of the cameras. That selling club I would hope, would also be ready with replacements

Clasie had a slow start but was getting better and better towards the end of the season, Romeu was IMO as good if not better than Wanyama last season and, Virgil aside, man of the match on Saturday.
The fact is the club are not going to sign players without letting players leave in case we end up with more players than we need. And at the moment we have numbers in those positions. Whether they are good enough is a different question. | | | |
