Carlisle at home Tuesday 02:30 - Mar 27 with 30553 viewsjokerthief

I think the turning point will come Tuesday night against Carlisle.
Luke Charman will start possibly with Andrews up front, we will attack them for sure.
R.S, has felt it important to defend, defend defend even at home lately.
But an attacking force will be unleashed against Carlisle I am sure.
Let the tide turn turn on Tuesday, there is no chance we will go down.
And lets hope Oldham can get above Stevenage, with Stockport coming into division 2.
Next year will be a very interesting and maybe lucrative season for the club.
Come on lets stay positive, the future will look bright after Tuesday.

There isn't an issue with 3 at the back if the wingbacks do their jobs and are positive and take risks. The problems arise when they don't play positively and we end up with 5 back - add to that Dooley and Broadbent and you get last Tuesday with 7 players defending.

Absolutely and Robbie has said he lines up with a back three. The problem is that too many games lately for whatever reason the WBs have been forced back into a back 5.

Has the 1978-79 season not been mentioned? Then, Dale, facing re-election with 8 matches remaining, won 7 of them and so avoided the bottom four.

More seriously, there's maybe not been enough acknowledgement of how much Dale's season, on the pitch and off, has been disrupted by the activities of a bunch of fantasists and chancers.

It has been acknowledged and referenced loads of times.

No Downing wonder if he as a reaction to his injury.

I'd imagine so

Possibly returned too early, although understandable that RS would've wanted to play him at the earliest opportunity

Guessing normal formation. Keohane filling in a RCB.

Grant, Cashman and Charman up top.

Lacking width but that might be a good thing. Means O'Keefe and Clark have to get forward, no excuses.

1-0 Dale from a penalty. Dooley dribbles into the box & is brought down. Kelly takes the pen & although the keeper goes the right way he hits it well enough to beat him.

Need to find that early intensity again. Carlisle getting back into it.

Clark has been poor so far. But most looking alright. Looked threatening early on.

Cashman has gone missing as well since those early minutes

There was more attacking intent in the first 20 minutes than every home game since October combined which was refreshing to see.

Wasn't convinced it was a penalty but will take it at this point.

I didn't think so either but their players didn't make a huge protest

Lively opening 20 mins, then a good spell by them, followed by another spell by ourselves. Lynch hasn't't had a lot to do but their forward missed a great chance from close in. I would say we shaded the half but not a lot in it

Feels like the game at their place but with the roles reversed. They've thrown a lot at us this half without really threatening and we've caught them on the break. Great finish from Grant!

2-0 Dale. Carlisle dominated for 30 minutes of this half. As they pushed forward they were caught out at the back. Grant was put through and hammered the ball home off the underside of the bar. great finish. Since Odoh has come on he has caused a bit of panic at the back & we had a couple of good moves before the goal. Up to that they had all the attacking although Lynch hasn't had to make a save of note
