This article states was a nine year campaign of bribery and corruption ended in 2013.

Nine years later the perpetrators are convicted.

Proof that once the authorities have the evidence they will do something about it, even if that takes time.

The individuals here had to sell their homes and forfeit their assets and pensions to make recompense for their wrongdoing.

There was a belief a few years ago that these sorts of criminals were untouchable but thanks to the Proceeds of Crime Act and other similar legislations they are all now, one by one, being convicted.
