Dozzell. Such an ineffective player. Complete waste of a shirt. Especially when we've the likes of Dixon-Bonner available. Hope he gets dropped soon.

A poor excuse for a footballer. Absolutely woeful. Along with Dunne, Kakay, Dykes and Richards (and probably add Armstrong and Smyth to that lot as well). Think most of that lot would struggle in League 1. Basically pretty much the whole squad needs to go

Anonymous as always, absolute waste of space.

The only defence I can make for him is that at least he's available, unlike the players we brought in for their leadership (Cook, Colback) who barely make an appearance and aren't much good when they do.

Dozzell is a luxury player. Unfortunately we are not good enough at the basics to afford one.
He would be good in a team that is on the front foot, again we aren't that team.

On the way back now.

Don’t know how he looked on the stream but that was vintage Dozzell. Playing with two defensive midfielders he did nothing whatsoever with the ball. Took the easy pass or lost it. Physically so, so weak. Bonner was far better without being particularly good but he at least looks like he wants to carry it forward and play a meaningful pass.

Just the worst type of player you need for a relegation fight.
He is meant to be the creative one in the middle: his assists and goals record since he joined us is appalling: one of the main reasons we create very little every game.
And we paid decent money (by our low standards) for him as well.

There was a moment in the first half that summed it up for me with him.

We finally have the ball wide to the right of the penalty area, Dozzell collects it, moves inside but instead of finding that extra little half yard or tying to create something, which in that position was his job, he has a think, goes backwards of square to Field, and it in turns goes back along the back line and out to the left back.

From a position we were so rarely finding ourselves in for that to be the result was just pointless. If that's how he's going to play in that situation we need someone else in that situation.
