I don’t think it was that long, I seem to recall it was a week. He was in Morocco (where roaming charges are very high if there’s no arrangement in place) and his kids used the iPad as a hotspot to watch a football match on another device. Streaming abroad can be extortionate, only 1 of the major providers includes roaming in the EU, outside the EU it’s even more expensive.
In my opinion, he should have gone ages ago.
